Every sunset over our bay is a one of a kind experience here at Palm Street Pier Bar & Grill. We are located on the scenic bayside of the famous South Padre Island, and have been an island favorite for many years. From shooting our giant oysters in a half shell during the fireworks, to listening to live music while you sip on our fishbowl margaritas, there is always something happening at Palm Street Pier. We arrived around 7 on a Friday and had no problems getting a table. By the time we left the place was full. The food was good, I had a burger and a salad. The drinks were good. Service was a bit slow. The views were great,. Great place for sunset views. The bathrooms had shower curtains for doors and walls, very strange.

I came out to Los Fresnos TX to visit family. We ate there more than once the food was so good. We brought in a fish we caught deep sea fishing and they cooked it the way we wanted and it was superb. The atmosphere and service was amazing. Ricky was the greatest!

If your thirsty for water or anything with ice, you are better off scooping pool water and drinking it because the water was so chlorinated here. If you want to go with a big group there is an 18% gratuity and they don't split up the bill. The only good thing was the nachos but I didn't have anything to wash them down with.

Great food, good happy hour specials, and a great view of the bay make this a place to go. They take great pride in serving locally sourced shrimp, right off the boat! Try the shrimp sampler, made of Captain Morgan-sauced shrimp, coconut shrimp, stuffed shrimp, and fried shrimp...or order each kind individually! Or if in the mood for wings, get the Captain Morgan wings! They're also known for making a huge pile of nachos, so try those if you bring friends. Service can be slow if not seated at the bar, however.

Service was terrible, the server realized he had the 18% GRATUITY tacked on because there were on 6 of us, (personally believe it should be 8 people or more 15% gratuity) so he took our order only gave 5/6 of us drinks, and ran us our food. Last time we saw him till he came to give our check which I believe the work put in did not warrant a 18% tip. On the food, I got the fish and shrimp Po Boy with coleslaw. Po Boy was decent, a little on the small side, coleslaw was small portion but great. Music was good, great view, pricing was only poor due to gratuity. Would have been a nice visit had not been for service and gratuity.
