I really like the pizza here. It reminds me so much of New York pizza but tonight we ordered take out and I was annoyed. The pizza was good but the house salad ordered was absolutely gross. It's a simple salad. I'm not really sure how they could mess up on that. The lettuce was all brown and rotten. It was just like chunks of the lettuce that shouldve been thrown out. That was my salad. We also had mushroom pizza and we could tell the mushrooms were from a can. At $17 a pizza they should use fresh mushroom

We used to get pizza and rolls from Palumbo's all the time - as in our regular Friday night pizza trip - but something happened. 
We'd either go inside or get take out because we really liked the garlic rolls. They were chewy with a lot of real garlic on them. Then, they began to start adding less and less garlic, sometimes to the point of some rolls having no garlic at all. 
We'd get takeout, but noticed that the pizza might be warm but the rolls would be cold. Or burnt. Or both. 
The last time we went inside, I watched them take a batch of rolls out of the oven and leave them on top of the oven while waiting for the pizza to come out for another customer. I don't know if leaving them on top of the oven is a mistake, but I think that has the potential to burn the bottoms of the rolls. As I watched that happen, it occurred to me that this might be the reason our rolls end up burnt when we get take out. 
When we first started going here, it was soooo good. But I guess when word gets out that some places are really good, they end up having a hard time keeping up with consistent quality. I think that might be the issue here.
We keep giving them "one last chance" in hopes that things will improve, but I don't think we'll be going back.

Can I give them negative stars?
Seriously the worst pizza I’ve ever had. Soggy and not very tasty. Then, when mentioning that the crust was soggy and the whole pizza was soggy was told we had too many topping. We had 5. 5 if which we’ve had the same toppings at other places and had no problems. They “fixed” it by cooking it longer, but it was still pretty wet. I would not recommend. I would not go again. No thanks.

AWESOME!!!  Palumbo's Pizzeria catered our Parent Event last night and it was phenomenal! Our families and staff really enjoyed dinner last night. Thank you so much to Margie and Angie for coming out to our event location and the entire Palumbo's Pizzeria team for taking care of us. We will definitely be back for future events!

As a native New Yorker, I'm very picky about my pizza - that being said, this is just about as close as it gets here in SWFL. The sauce is great, garlic knots were very good. The only thing that could've been better was the chicken salad - the chicken itself was ok, but the salad ingredients were on the cheap side. But then again, you're probably not coming here for a salad.
