I feel so bad leaving this review because I used to love this location. Going back 15-20 years ago, I used to meet my dad here for lunch all the time while I was in college. Also used to stop here for breakfast after church. It was always clean with friendly people and service. I stopped in this morning at 8:15am. 2 kiosks were not working and there was one person working the counter who was coughing a lot 2 of the coffee varieties were not available and I heard the lady at the counter mention several of the items they were out of. Food took a while but was hot and tasty, only reason for 2 vs 1 star. The store seemed almost dim and there was a huge coffee spill that the workers had not gotten to clean up yet. I am hoping enough negative reviews spurs correction from management. You need more people working the store.
Josh was extremely helpful today. I appreciate his great customer service skills and attention to detail!! He has extremely great taste in eyewear as well!! I will be coming back in the near future!
Cori is absolutely incredible! Fast service with a smile at the counter! She made my day better right from the start. Her customer service is incredible! I watched in awe as I ate a delicious breakfast. Refilling waters, hot coffee, fresh bread, taking orders, helping anyone out, etc… all with a smile! This company should know how lucky they are to have an incredible worker like Cori! Will definitely be back soon:
I was there during an unexpectedly busy day for them due to storms knocking out power to other nearby locations. Yet the staff remained friendly, courteous, and helpful, and warned every customer in advance of the possible delays in service of up to 30 minutes because of the surge of business. However, my food was ready in only about 15 minutes anyway, was hot, fresh, and delicious, and served with a smile. Kudos to everyone who worked that day!
Visited Saturday night, 25th of Nov. Gave order of soup and asked if they still had sprouted grain rolls for the side option that goes with the soup. The cashier taking order was confused, but then said that they had some. Ordered coffee. My sister got soup and iced cappucino.Food came up fast, again confused what the side was supposed to be. Is it a bagel? At this point I would just be happy with baguette. The cashier stepped over to explain. I didn't want anything special, just a side choice. They gave me my order. They have been very polite, I'm still happy too, yay I have always loved Panara. Things go south now. 3 tries to get coffee, roll is so dry and stale it's crumbling like a crouton, a crunchy crouton. I've had it many times before, so I know how it is supposed to be.. Soup is very good. Coffee is so strong its undrjnkable. I'm a huge coffee fan. I drink all kinds, 100% columbian is my go to, so I know coffee that has been brewed improperly. This is practically syrup. My sister's iced coffee has no coffee in it. It's been made with water and milk. Cashier says it's the new guy making it. They fix her a new one , oh, she also has a crouton roll. She goes to use the restroom, door locked. She thinks someone is using it. Returns to table. She tries again ,door locked, finds an employee who gives her the code to get in. Customers have to let staff know they need to use the bathroom??? Wow. My turn to go. I get code from my sister and enter a very dirty bathroom. I wanted to let staff know about the issues. I would have been polite about it . Well I couldn't see any employees. So we left. First time Panara has disappointed us. We were actually laughing that this visit was, what do you even call it? I hope the whole chain is not taking a dive as this location did. My bowl of soup, coffee and roll was $14.00. They never mentioned the side roll, er, crouton was an extra charge of .99 cents. Thought management should be aware.
Save your money and sanity and just order from the Okemos store instead. It's almost a guarantee that this store will always give you half portions and the person checking the bags will mark a missing side item or two as present. The "rapid" pick-up also takes 30-40 minutes on average.Food: 2/5
It’s always so dirty. They’re out of a lot. The iced coffee was very light in color so when they gave me a cup for hot coffee they were out of all of the coffee except one. They had no half and half or almond milk left. And the $6.66 I paid for a parfait was the size of a fruit cup and was spoiled I almost puked. It’s so dirty in there. I wonder what the 15 workers are doing.
Met a friend for coffee. My coffee was good along with the bear claw. But, the women's bathroom was very dirty and appeared to have not been cleaned in quite a while.
Clean store, friendly cashiers that answered questions thoroughly! Asian sesame chicken salad didn't have much dressing, but was a good mix of flavors. Creamy tomato was ok but tasted like somebody used the broccoli cheddar ladle. Does the drink station need to be so cluttered and pigeonholed in that tiny alcove?
Ordered Bacon, Egg & Cheese on Brioche to go and got to work opened sandwich to eat it and absolutely NO BACON on the sandwich what's so ever for $7 breakfast sandwhich I expect my bacon, and it wasn't even busy so absolutely no excuses. I'm not happy and most likely won't return to Panera again, this is the 3rd time my order has been incorrect in 3 months trying Panera!
