I was quite impressed with the selection at Paperback Ranch; their stock of Vonnegut, Kafka, and Bradbury rivaled used book stores in larger cities. Unfortunately, at my time of purchase I was told that credit/debit cards were not accepted - I guess it's a legitimate argue that people should carry cash around, but I think it's vastly outdated for a business to only accept paper currency. What irked me was the overall rude vibe I got from the store worker; she sort of mocked me - in that Southern twang- for attempting to purchase a Spanish book as she proceeded to declare "we ain't got credit card machines, so you got that paper or what?" To be fair, I was mostly annoyed by the fact that I had to shelve four really hard to find purchases solely because this store chooses to stay outdated. Anyway, just bring cash. You'll have better luck.
