Paragraphs is a full-service independent bookstore owned and operated by Joni Montover and Griff Mangan. We moved to this wonderful, barrier island and opened Paragraphs in 2009. Our comprehensive selection of new and used books, is personally selected by us and we pride ourselves on being able to find something that will satisfy any reader at a price they can afford.
The store has comfortable chairs, free WiFi, a courtyard, a selection of Keurig coffee and tea, plus a variety of game boards available for our visitors enjoyment.
For our many friends in Harlingen and Brownsville who have lost their local bookstores, we will do our best to help fill the void. Give us a call and we will order titles for pickup at the store -- it gives you the perfect excuse to spend the day at the beach!!
If you are visiting South Padre Island, stop by and say hello. We can help you find the perfect beach read and give you lots of personal recommendations on other things to do while you are here. We have brochures and information about many of the local attractions and are always happy to share.
We are a pet-friendly location and the "bookends" always like company.

We are also able to meet the needs of businesses for off-site sales of books for speakers or at business conferences. Let us take care of getting those publications to your meeting or allow us to support your speakers by handling the ordering and sales of their titles.
Paragraphs is dedicated to serving our community so if we can do anything to help out, let us know. The store is available and may be used for meetings of local groups and we would welcome anyone willing and interested in facilitating some book discussion groups, for any age group.
