Beautiful place. Friend lives here, and her apartment is very spacious, modern looking, functioning and clean pool and hot tub, fairly quiet, close to shopping centers.

The Good It's conveniently located near shopping, and it's not a bad area for walking or biking. The apartment was very clean since nobody had lived in it before. The amenities were okay; but in my opinion they were just bare minimum. The Bad If you have small dogs, expect to run into multiple neighbors with pit bulls that are stronger than the people walking them. I hated the parking; I felt like I was parking my truck on a postage stamp (don't even think about getting a garage unless you have a pretty small car and don't mind sharing it with someone). The noise level isn't bad, but that seems to depend on what part of the complex you live in. You're basically paying 2k a month for 1k square feet. In addition, you will be paying pet rent if you have any pets. These people will not give you your deposit back without a fight. We kept the unit very clean. We expected to be charged for general cleaning as most corporate apartments see it as a source of revenue. However, we never expected for them to replace all the carpet and hit us up for the entire deposit. We are now in the process of trying to work with the management company that owns Parc One to be reimbursed, and it's a real hassle. I feel that this place is pretty much a hotel that doesn't care about repeat business.

Literally worse experience renting an apartment so far. The rent is overpriced for Santee. You can hear everything standing outside in the hall. They towed my car for parking in an unmarked spot. Their parking policy is so ridiculous!! You get one spot per apartment and there are only a few guest spots. There was a dirt lot you could park in (park at your own risk) but now we cannot park there either. SO basically if you have more than one car per apartment you're screwed..unless you want to pay $80 for a tiny garage far from your apartment. The management is not helpful whatsoever. They even lost our rent two months ago and tried to give us a warning eviction then realized they had misplaced it.. I can't wait for this lease to be up!

The view is amazing and the staff beyond exceptional. Its been a pleasure watching this complex blossom and grow with each passing day. Edit: One year later. My wife, roommate, and I are still loving this place and have gladly renewed our lease. While easily the most expensive complex in Santee, it has been well worth the cost in terms of views, locations, quality, and management. The issues reported in other reviews here are *not* the fault of the management whom have been working with residents and police to resolve, but are issues faced practically anywhere along the San Diego river. Anyone assuming the issues are unique here are willfully blind. My experiences with the management have always been great with them listening to anything I have to offer and promptly addressing any issues I may have. The management hosts seasonal events and fully catered parties free of charge to residents and their guests. The 24 hour gym is kept clean and stocked. Residents leave extra toys in the dog park for anyone who may want them as well as beach balls for the pool. The landscaping has filled in beautifully now that it's had a year to grow. The community has only improved as its grown. We are looking forward to this coming year and the years to follow.
