If there was an option for 0, I would put it. All I can say is that I never write reviews but I became so eager to put in a score after my few months' experience. They know how to rip you off. I strongly recommend to find another apartment as this apartment truly showed me that no one communicated with one another, I received different answers from every person in the office. For instance when I asked for a leasing price, they gave me the same price for a 12 and 8 month lease, I do no know how that works and then having a 10 month be a different price. I also gave a 30 day notice and they told me the 30 day notice starts when they record the notice not when you sign it. I got riped off, lost 200 dollars to be exact. I also found roaches in my apartment, but I can manage to live with roaches but could not manage to communicate with such a disrespectful uncommunitive staff. Heavily disappointment and to be nice I will not talk about the main frustrations I had with this complex. The ratings say it all, I hope the company will grow aware of these low ratings and try to fix their issues.

I am from UCI. I love Parkwest, it is close to school and cheaper than other places. However, i just moved out last month, i just got a clearing fee for $700+. We were three engineers who live together, we maintained the apartments very well, we never make any mass, we had no pet, no smoke not even a party in the past whole year.... yes i know, our life suck. anyway, the wall is as good as when we moved in,for some reason they told me that they need to re paint all the wall which cose $210 and all tiles that cost an other $200+. we never wear shoes when we walk in the apartments once. how can they even change the floor and repaint the wall. i took a little video before i move out, i hope i can pose it to show it. we will find a time going to the office and talk to them.

New update for this review 2017:
After living in other Irvine Apt, I found that Park west actually not as bad as I thought. Villa Coronado it even worse. I am going to re-rate this to 4 starts.

I like it's close to school, however that's as about as nice as I can say for this apartment. My packages got stolen twice. My 2 bedroom is infested with ants and other bugs. Called the leasing office over this issue, they responded with pest treatment they contracted with some company. Ants has never stop coming out in terrifying amount through out pest treatment or after. Often, I fill a cup of drinking water. Turned around for 15mins and boom, my cup is covered by ants. Ants are coming from power outlets/under the kitchen counter slab/light features. The correct way is to remove light features and power outlets, also gutted the kitchen counter to find the nest. Ants are living in between the walls in the room, but obviously leasing office wants to keep collecting rent instead of get rid of the ants.

If 0 was an option I would put it, they dont return your deposit by claiming cleaning charges on the entire apartment even if you clean it from top to bottom professionally.  The staffing is rude and impolite and the rent they charge is absurd. If you are going to be paying a lot just go to UTC or the apartments on the other side of the freeway hopefully you will find a better experience there,

What really makes this housing is its representatives. Their leasing office representatives are very helpful and I really like that about this place.
