Legitimately staff have never been anything but polite and helpful.  I've watched other people come in upset and yelling and they remained calm and polite.

Unbelievable! Went to pick up my sister from ISU and parked in front of the building with my hazards on. My sister had overslept and I kept trying to contact her. While in the chaos my battery in my car legit dyed and I was in the fire lane. I called my parents paniking cause I live up in the Chicagoland area so I was stranded. I put a note on my windsheild explaining my battery dyed and I was going to get help. I leave for 2 minutes! Legit 2 minutes! Come back and there's a $55 citation on my windsheild. After thank God finding someone to get me a charge, and after $200 later on a new battery at Advanced Auto Parts. I went to the parking office to try and explain the situation. They knocked it down to $15 because I was "parked in a fire lane" and claimed "I had to learn a lesson." I told them how I put a note on there and they told me "we don't accept those." Seriously?! My battery is dead! How the hell can I move my car! Unbelievable! I guarantee you if I was up around my house. The Lake County court would have thrown it out! So take my $15 go buy yourself some Jersey Mike's or something. What choice do I have....

My husband and I have never gone to ISU. We went to Normal, IL square to eat and parked in a parking lot. The parking lot was not directly near ISU and there was no sign stating that it was affiliated with them. We paid our meter and went to eat. After eating we decided to go peruse the shops, so we went to put more money in the meter. Didn't check for parking tickets then. After shopping we came back to our meter still with credits in it and a parking citation on our windshield from this ISU building. There's literally no way our meter was expired for more than 3 minutes after we got done eating and before we put more money in. No way. And if that parking lot was an ISU parking lot then obviously it should be labeled as such. We like supporting local businesses, but will never be returning to any businesses in that area. It's too hard to find a parking spot and apparently the lots are run under a crappy system. Thanks for losing customers for your local businesses.

You thought paying for your education in this town was a lot? Well your in for a treat with the amount of parking fines and fees you will have to pay to this scumbag department.
