PPD provides excellent recreational facilities for the residents of Pekin and their visiting family, friends and opposing teams. Not every park district encourages alternative activities such as disc golf or skateboarding. Few provide ice for hockey and figure skating. Some of my favorite memories were made on that sheet of ice.
