On this night, the weather was perfect. The waiter Albert was very prompt and on point. He had a pleasant attitude and kept our table clean. The atmosphere and ambiance were so pretty. First time here, and I will definitely come backFood: 4/5
It's new orleans, you have to stop in. Very nice Courtyard seating if you just want to enjoy a drink, the piano bar is a lot of fun. They have food, but we did not eat.Service: 3/5
Great live music and Hurricane drink! We had fun at the courtyard. They say that have the “world famous” Hurricane! They are not wrong! I’ve had couple of Hurricanes during my trip! And by far, this is the best.
I remembered this place to be more fun when I came the last couple times. We visited on a Friday night around 8:45-9pm. Our group was one of the 3 tables that was probably under 50. It was crowded and the waiters will find your party a seat. However, the seating will not always be comfortable. The tables are not really wiped between parties, so be prepared for that. The waiters were not very patient when waiting for your orders as we were trying to pull up the menu with the QR code, but service was bad. They have a dueling piano, which is the reason why we always make a visit here. The pianist are typically very skilled and able to get the crowd hyped. However, the ones we had were only so-so. It also depended on what the crowd requests too. They are known for the hurricanes! It’s a delicious drink with rum as the base. Beware it’s pretty sugary, great for people who don’t like the taste of alcohol but still wanna enjoy the night. Don’t get too many, it’ll creep up on you.
Talk about an oasis in the French Quarter after walking around all morning. Sitting in the courtyard for Hurricanes may not be on every tourists to-do list but it couldn't have come at a better time. The staff was energized and amazing for our large-ish group of 7.Service: 5/5
We went to Pat O’Brien’s because who doesn’t go there while in New Orleans?! We sat in the courtyard and had a famous Hurricane and it was so good! The weather was nice and mixed with the atmosphere and service, it was perfect. We sat there and just chatted and sipped our drinks until we were ready to move on. Definitely a place that everyone needs to stop at while in the Big Easy.
The vibe / atmosphere here is amazing. Staff is kind. Beautiful courtyard. The hurricane is great. Definitely a must stop for cocktails in NOLAService: 5/5
Food was good. Our server, Albert, was fantastic. We had our kid with us and he really made sure she was happy. Great service and atmosphere.Food: 5/5
Legendary bar in the French Quarter. It is a great hangout for perhaps an older crowd. It isn’t rowdy and the drinks are strong. We were in the piano bar and enjoyed ourselves with good music and drinks. Pat O’Brien’s is known for their “Hurricane”. If this is your first trip to NOLA I recommend getting a Hurricane.Service: 5/5
Pat O’Brien’s is an absolutely fabulous, quintessential French Quarter spot EXCEPT for two things that I feel management seems to allow to go on. First, when you buy a hurricane the price of the souvenir glass is included. You can take the glass home or return it for around $3.50 per glass credit. Not everyone knows this. A few servers do not inform guests and cash in the glasses themselves. I also experienced a scam in the piano bar. The server came up as I was leaving and claimed I had not paid. They always collect when they drop off drinks. Keep track! I told the server exactly how much and the tip and I was a local and she apologized and immediately backed off. Such a shame because this is otherwise a fun and great place. There are three bars here. The main bar is great and straight forward. Drink prices are slightly lower here. Next is the piano bar, slightly more expensive drinks but great entertainment. Next is the patio bar, with the fountain. Fun and nice ambiance. Finally there is also a restaurant, which is another separate entity. This is for grabbing a bite and people under 21 years of age are welcome. All are fun, it’s just a shame management doesn’t monitor a few bad apples that take advantage. Otherwise I would have rated five stars easily.
