Peychaud's is everything you'd want in your New Orleans drinking experience. A historical refurbished home invites you into a full bar with a private courtyard in the rear. The drinks are strong but smooth. They specialize in NOLA classics like sazeracs and gin fizzes, so stick to long standing recipes for the best flavors. Staff is nice, but maybe a bit distant feeling. That aside, I'd return to drink and lounge.
Lovely ambience and one of the fanciest cocktail bars I’ve ever been to. The staff were friendly and the cocktails were some of the best I’ve ever drank. If you want to stay away from the noise and party people, this is a good hideaway spot in the French Quarters. The back patio is also very nice and quiet, almost looks like a secret garden. FYI- they don’t serve food here so don’t expect a food menu. They sell only premium cocktails.
Beautiful bar, yummy cocktails! Really just went for the Ramos Gin Fizz which apparently you have to order two at a time but that makes sense as it is a very labor intensive cocktail! It was good! Not the best in the city but still good. The real stars here tho are the blessed bar tenders. Came in there with a large group on a weekend already pretty blitzed for my birthday and these ladies were so patient and attentive. I'm sure we were soooo annoying! So 10/10 for great service and good drinks! Also super cute courtyard!
My favorite bar we went to in NOLA. Quiet atmosphere, nice lighting, and the patio in the back was the perfect reprieve from the hustle and bustle on Bourbon St. The bartender was so amazing and made great cocktails. Our first time trying a Ramos Gin Fizz and hopefully won’t be the last!
Was fine until we got the bill! Drinks were pricey but good, service was nice then came the bill! BEWARE! bartender added a 20% "Service Fee!" This was NOT noted anywhere I could find, when I asked what it was for, I was told it was a built in tip! When I pressed the info on the pay app, it said it was for large parties, there were 2 of us. I likely would have tipped more, but now will likely not go back
Want a drink? Want a real drink? Want to be able to have a conversation while enjoying your drink? This is the place. Real craft cocktails. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Just off Bourbon Street. I’ll be back every time I’m in NOLA.
Peychaud's is a gem, hidden just off Bourbon Street. The staff are attentive and informative and the cocktails are beautifully crafted and presented. The menu isn't exhaustive but that means that what they do make, they make very well. So glad we found this place as a cool, calm little escape from the hectic main street.
Perfectly executed classic cocktails in a classic NOLA courtyard with knowledgeable staff to help guide your decisions if needed or just need out with you on the intricacies of mixology if that's your thing. I can't imagine what else you might need to know
Well balanced drinks, average decor, wait staff could be more helpful about providing flavor details of the drinks. ps: Don't sit near the door. The strong street and trash oder are quite unpleasant.
I got the hurricane and my bf got the Irish Coffee. Literally the most relaxing and Classy bar I have ever been too. Delicious cocktails
