Customer service at the front desk has taken a plummit since I last visited a few years ago as a single college student. Now I am married with two kids, and I decided to try to go back because I remembered the reasonable price for a detailed haircut that Paul Mitchell usually offers. Granted I did not have an appointment, I went in to check availability on a walk-up. Although they affirmed walk-up availability, I was refused service because I had my two children with me(I didn't have any available relatives or friends to watch them while my wife was in school). No attempt was made to further assist me in any way. I was simply refused service. I returned less than two hours later, having passed my children off to my wife who had finished her classes. I was refused service AGAIN because they had now apparently stopped taking walk-ups after 2:30 PM. Both receptionists at the desk did not show ANY sympathy for having to refuse service to me again, and one of them even laughed. I wasted fuel and time that I did not have a lot of that day, and ended up not having time to find another salon to cut my hair because I had to go to work. I used to be a regular customer here, but it is safe to now say that I will NEVER return to this establishment because they apparently no longer have any sense of customer service, or going above and beyond to promote their business. If you plan to get your haircut here, you better hope you don't have any children with you, and that you have a confirmed appointment, or they will send you packing and laugh as you leave...

I love going to Paul Mitchell. The prices are so cheap and I've always had good experiences with getting my hair cut. Getting the VIP for $35 is the way to go here because cuts and washes are not charged. Also, additional services are 50% off.

It's really cheap and they almost always make good hair styles. Unfortunately sometimes you find certain people really slow.. (One time I stayed there for 2 hours).

Super good pricing and they even have deals, like a membership that allows as many haircuts as you want for a year. I forget the pricing on that specific one but it's really good. They may be students but they're amazing and super friendly.

Overall it is a good place for a haircut. Since it is a student doing the cutting, they try their best to not make any mistakes as they are getting "graded" on it...or something to that extent. On that note, it can take a while because of the need for perfection. In addition, they have this program where you can get unlimited haircuts. It was awesome until they kept (and continuing) doing enrollment for the program every other month and allowed the entire town of Rexburg to add to the program. Now you have to call almost 2 weeks in advance to get a haircut scheduled. Kind of ridiculous to do if you are a college student and are working too. So if you want a walk-in/easy scheduling place, this isn't the one, nor if you want a quick haircut. If you want one that is cheap and looks nice at the end, call now for your appointment in two weeks.
