So understaffed - months after another person took the time to write how understaffed this once awesome jewel in Hermosa is.  Watching the current situation play out in front of you is like watching a car wreck.  The food delivered is doused in oil and not anywhere near what it used to be.  Hopefully the Owners can resume managing the devoted small staff they ask so much of these days  and get their absentee management act together before it's too late.  (At least half of the menu items - they'd run out of - on a Friday night)   The Owners need to wake up - they also should be very grateful for the small staff they Do Have who constantly have to answer for the lack of ingredients and ridiculous on-line middlemen that only add to the pressure on the minimal staff trying to fill orders (with no available ingredients).  This Restaurant is a cluster.

I’m here on a Sunday afternoon, the only customer. I called the restaurant directly for pickup and ordered three things. They said it would be 20-30 minutes, so I show up 35 minutes after ordering. The front girl  calls back to the kitchen to ask when the order will be ready, and the cook walks out and tells her they don’t have any pasta, so they can’t make the eggplant parmigiana I ordered. Both the staff are laughing about it. So they ask if I want something else or want to cancel it. I still wanted the eggplant, so they’re now making that and gave me a $5 discount. Why they didn’t call me back instead of waiting til I show up, I don’t know. And the cook hadn’t discussed the fact that they couldn’t fulfill my order with anyone because the lady working the bar didn’t know. This place runs out of ingredients often, and I understand why they wouldn’t contact me when ordered through a 3rd party online. But this is just stupid, I called directly and I’ve been here 15 minutes now and no customers are coming in and out. I do like the food enough, but this is ridiculous and not uncommon. I overheard on the phone that Mike the manager is coming in tonight. Perhaps he can talk to the staff?

Happen to be there for several hours so I got to witness a lot. The store was severely understaffed, but the two employees actually working were doing fantastic with the rush of business that comes when all of the bars start to close. The owner came in hammered with his friends while the printer was broken for the order tickets and blamed it on the one server there. She quit right then after being slammed with insults from this guy when she was doing an excellent job. I believe this guys name is Mike, so way to go man. Happen to talk to her and find out the back is filthy in the store. They said they ran out of salad and a variety of toppings for pizza, when in reality they had the only other server cooking everyone's food and had no other option but to cut down on orders. I've never worked in the food industry, but this whole seen made me furious with the owner. Someone asked him what was taking their order so long, and he says to ask the server and take any money they wanted for compensation out of her tips. At any rate, I'd really like to see OSHA come through and give a surprise inspection. Maybe come in around 2am so they can talk to the owner while he's in his natural intoxicated state

Understaffed, but the one person waiting was friendly. Waited over an hour for the pizza, thought to be fair it was a friday night. Semi-decent pizza at best. Did not like their Canadian bacon. It was too thick n chewy. Not crispy as i had hoped. Expensive. Would not order my pizza from there again. Not horrible... but very "meh"

Nice looking place, however the service wasn't great and the pizza was pretty bad. It tasted like a frozen pizza crust with overly large pieces for the toppings. Not much flavor overall.
