Story

Penn State World Campus is the online campus of The Pennsylvania State University and offers more than 125 regionally accredited undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs.

With students hailing from all 50 states and more than 40 countries on all seven continents, Penn State's online "campus" continues to expand the reach of one ot the largest alumni network in the world, and maintain its place as a leader in higher education.

Mission

Penn State’s online campus grew out of the University's long and distinguished history in distance education that began in 1892. The mission of the World Campus is to extend Penn State's undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs to learners who are unable to access other Penn State campuses due to geographic limitations.

Your money will be spent better at any other public institution offering fully online programs. You're assigned an adviser - and this person will be extremely unhelpful and incompetent. All of the departments seem to be short staffed and behind track - causing you to wait 2-3 months before being able to move forward. There are a few faculty members who are extremely helpful and knowledgeable, yet they are not authorized or do not share the same access as your adviser - therefore they can't help you as much as they like. I hope the school improves on their staffing, performance, and quality of service because this online program seems to be quite extensive.

So far I experience has been awful. I had my transcripts sent over in March 2017 so I could attend World Campus in the summer. They couldn't find my transcripts. I had them sent 3 times. in June I became very irate with this department and threatened to call the presidents office; then they found them. They had been there since March they confirmed. Now I missed the summer enrollment. I was told I am all set to sign up for classes for the fall. When I try I am told all of my accounting classes are in question and will require a syllabus. I begin to have this taken care of but, I can't sign up for any classes until this is complete. I am told by the admissions department I should forget about the three years I have spent in college and just start all over again with an entrance placement test at Penn. Obviously this isn't going to happen. Now it is October 2017. I call the admissions department because I haven't heard anything. I am told when I didn't sign up for classes the college un-enrolled me. There for they have not looked at any of the syllabus I have sent nor went forward with anything. Today I called the presidents office. I was treated very badly and told to send them an e mail and someone would look into it and get back to me; however they don't know when.

So far I am loving my experience at this University. I am a transfer student loving the online learning that Penn State provides. The teachers are very informative and active in the learning process.

As far as delivering value for the money paid,,, aka technology fees, facility fees activity fees and and most important,,failure of the technology delivery systems..........no value for the amount of money paid and the multiple times having to have my student retake the tests, reschedule times, call off work,,,because the student delivery system at the NK campus doesnt work,,,,as a consumer and authorized payer....garbage Rating is O
