Penny's has some of the best breakfast/comfort food in town. It is a small place and during peak times you may have to wait, but it is generally worth it. My wife and I ate here for breakfast two days in row during our stay. The bucket of spuds is always great! Coming from farther south we are used to biscuits and gravy that usually come with a sausage gravy. At Penny's they have an herb gravy on their biscuits that is completely different than what we are used to but amazing nonetheless. If you live in town or are just visiting, give them a shot. You won't be disappointed!!

The most popular breakfast spot in downtown Burlington, which means nothing the food & service are top notch AND it's crowded. The best time to go is mid-week and after breakfast if you want peace and quiet. But, who wants that? The morning rush us just that, but includes excellent food and a talented staff. Very highly recommended!!

BEST place in Burlington for REAL home made food! Never have had a bad meal here, the "spuds" are STELLAR! But try everything, you won't be disappointed! Waitstaff is friendly, professional and always welcoming! Prices are modest: NOT cheap, NOT expensive. Quality is right up there, even the jams are homemade, so don't complain! Also it's well worth the wait to get in, as I notice other reviewers have commented on the long lines and the noise. There's a small upstairs dining area, it's NOT as noisy up there and more private. Both breakfast and lunch fare are superb! Thanks Penny Cluse!

Had a Turkey tortilla soup special. It was great. The vibe is Earthy and cool. Great service and good prices. We aren't from the area but I'd recommend it to anyone.

Penny Cluse is many peoples' favorite brunch spot. I think the food is tasty but nothing screams WOW to me. You get great eggs and other breakfast food. If you go on the weekends expect a loooooong wait.
