Great place for a drink.. Reasonable prices! Nice food. Only complaint is the bar can be a lot chaotic as far as the conversations going on while you're eating. Not a deal breaker.

This is a great Pepe's and a credit to the name. While the majority of Pepe's seem to have gone down hill in my personal opinion and obviously many others which is evident by all the restaurant closings this one is above and beyond the average. The food is always great, always hot, and the staff is wonderfully friendly. To receive five stars for a restaurant in my book it would have to be one of the best restaurants I have ever been to and I wouldn't go that far but it definitely one of my go to spots in Valpo.

No bueno. Place looked like it needed hosed down. Food was not like what I saw in the menu. My plate ranged all the way from undercooked to severely overcooked. Server gave incorrect information. I suspect the soda was watered down. SOUR CREAM WAS GRITTY AND RESEMBLED WATERY RICOTTA CHEESE.

Good food, good service, however,  mixed atmosphere, bar with smoking allowed in small space.
