I would highly recommend this amazing restaurant. My family and I loved it so much we came back for dinner the following evening. The ambiance is lovely and so immaculately clean. The food is quintessential Roman cuisine cooked to perfection. Our favorites the Cacio E Pepe, Ravioli butter parmigiana sage sauce, Vegetable bechamel lasagna, but there is much more and the deserts are scrumptious from the panacotta to the Neapolitans and gelato …….all outstanding! And if you are really lucky you will have Viola as your server…she is a delight with her welcoming smile and outgoing personality. Buon Appetito!
9:30 pm dining so walked where our concierge told us to go. Food was awful. Massive amount of poor quality sauce piled on pasta harder than al dente. Meatballs were small and uniform. Looked and tased like from a bag. When bill came it was $8 dollars more than the menu listed. Shook my head and said not right but paid. Ten minutes later they walked over with new bill saying they made a mistake and handed us $3 back. If you want not authentic tiramisu covered in chocolate sauce, this is your place. It was the only recommendation we took from our concierge and figured out later it was in a hotel.
Highly recommended for authentic Roman food. My partner’s grandparents live across the street and this is their go-to place. They do all the Roman and seasonal staples excellent gricia, carbonara, amatriciana, carciofi, etc. Service is Italian standard, food is not expensive considering the location. You can likely get a table without a reservation. I strongly recommend a coffee once you’re done eating.
Nice restaurant: traditional Roman cuisine and a rather homey setting make the experience in this restaurant quite nice. Prices are a bit above average, probably also due to the location next to Via Veneto, but I would still be back to eat again the fantastic artichoke parmigiana see pic, pasta alla Carbonara see pic and millefoglie allo Zabaione see pic.
I rarely leave bad reviews, however, I feel I need to leave this review so that others are aware. This place was recommended by the hotel we were staying at. The food was average and the service was unfriendly. I felt that we were looked down upon because we were foreigners and therefore, were treated rudely. In the end, it was very expensive and not worth the money.
I wouldn’t go to this place. Happened to walk by and the waiter was even too busy to tell us what the wait time is. We are a party of 2, and a party of 4 walked in after us. The next table freed up and the waitress lied to me the party of 4 had reservation and gave the table to them the party of 4 asked me if I was waiting for a table right before that. Clearly they are just trying max out money making.
Higher than average price but the food and service was far better. We had a fabulous meal. Highly recommend this place for traditional Roman food. It was a great, relaxing evening.
The food was good and the service was good but the night we were there it smelled like fresh paint. Not awesome.
Great food, mostly classic Roman dishes. Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly service. Not overloaded with Americans and doesn’t feel like their main goal is to rush tourists through. Slightly more expensive then others but absolutely worth it. Very close to the Westin and Marriott on Via Veneto.
Great little restaurant. Very happy staff, very cosy. Highly recommend.
