We tried Pet Valu today and we're very very pleased. We walked in to bathe our 2 big dogs. The staff was super helpful and attentive. The minute we walked in we were greeted. They had plenty of towels and one of the employees made sure that the washing bays were clean. There were even aprons for us to wear. You absolutely cannot beat the price ($10 each dog). My dogs are big shedders and to NOT have the copious amounts of wet dog hair all over my bathroom is priceless. We will absolutely be back.

I brought my pup there since she was 8 months old, she is now 3 yrs old. It was wonderful til about 1 month ago, but now the staff is more worried about getting their check and less about actually caring for my pet. The old staff would alwys great my pet before me and I loved that, the staff now just stands behind the counter and even though my pup made an effort they just about ignored her. The 1 star goes to the self bath area, it's a good deal.

Do not go to Pet Valu in Rye Brook to give your dog a bath. The people who work there are lazy. The girt behind the counter today was sitting on the floor playing games on her phone, and both of the baths were filthy. We had to ask her to clean one out- it was filled with sand. It was then that she told us she hadn't done any of the laundry so there weren't any clean towels. We decided to give our dog a bath anyway, and she complained that the bath area would get wet, and she wouldn't be able to dry it. There wasn't any hot water, and our dog was miserable. She said, "oh yeah- forgot to tell you." I probably wouldn't have gone ahead and shampooed my dog had I known that the water would have been freezing! Then the girl went back to her phone- the whole time the pile of filthy towels sat next to us not making their way into the laundry. WOW
