It was clean and the supplies were well stocked. But it had some funky smell i cant describe. It had few pets, I'm assuming because of the weather. But i was here to look at fresh water fish and plants because i am starting a new tank. The fish were dying. A few were dead the girl there was hurrying to net them out. They were stocking new fish into aquariums that she just netted dead ones out of. The plants had bad algae and dying. And plant tank smelled like mold. I picked 3 because of how well stocked they were. But 2 stars less for the fish.

Called my local petco to make sure they had large Crickets since they have been out for a week or more. I was told yes they had them. I drove 8 miles to the store just to find out at the check out that these large Crickets were very small. Not even  medium size. The guy checking tried to argue that they really were large. Not the first time this has happened. Had no choice but to pay for them. My dragon has to eat something. He ate them all (3 dozen ) in about 8 minutes.  This store is so disappointing. Employees are not remotely knowledgeable about any of the animals or products that they sell but they pretend to be. So sad. Hope my roaches take off soon.

Set up of the store was nice but the particular worker that assisted us knew less than we did, and I don't know a lot.

Petco employees are always very kind and welcoming. I can almost always find what I'm looking for here.

Not the biggest or best petco I've seen but it's adequate. Could be cleaner!
