I have been patronizing this store for 3 years.   I have stellar service until now.  I usually bring my pets in for grooming on Saturdays.   The manager Benny knows me and my dogs.  Due to a change in my work schedule, Fridays  are better days.  The two groomers handled my dogs differently  than the Saturday staff last month but I thought nothing of of it.  I took my dogs in on 9/29  and was informed that one of my dogs could no longer be serviced  there.   The groomer claimed I was informed last month.   No such conversation  took place.     Now I have no choice but  to have my dogs  groomed elsewhere. I am disappointed.  It could have been handled another way.  Petco just lost a customer

What great customer service.

My sister brought me here because she found a snake she wanted to adopt. The staff at this Petco went above and beyond.

Back story: Someone dropped to snake off at this Petco because they couldn't care for it any longer as they were leaving the country. The Petco took the snake in no questions asked and was going to arrange to get it adopted. My sister came in to the store and saw what was going on and said she wanted to adopt the snake the next day if it was still there.

Well, the snake was there and the staff made the whole process so easy. They explained everything they knew about the snake and its past and really made us feel calm about the whole process. They even offered to call as a follow up once they got additional info!

I highly recommend this Petco just because of the staff. Here is a picture of Tiffini holding the Red Tailed Boa. She was such a rock star the entire time. If you have any questions whatsoever- go to her. She is a pro!

This review is for this Petco's adoption process and specifically Tiffini.

We stopped by Petco just before close on Monday to check out the hermit crabs (yeah - I know, who in their right mind just checks out hermit crabs?) - but seriously, I've gotten 3 of my 4 herms from here and they're by far the best kept store-bought herms in Woodbridge.

ANYWAYS - we walk in and are greeted by a giant snake. An adorable chick with short, colorful hair walks up and asks if we want to pet her - mentioned she's been given up by her owner and is looking for a forever home. Who woulda guessed Petco gets tons of reptile surrenders!? 

Petco is literally locking the doors and turning off the lights because it's after close, but they aren't rushing us at all - answering all our questions, explaining details about the breed. She says we can put a 24 hold to sleep on it - snake care is long term, these guys can live 30 years if kept right. 

We show up the next morning to see Tiffini feeding mice and a smile wipes across her face when she realized we're takin' the ol' girl home. And man are these people almost as nice as this snake! Tiffini is teaching us how to hold her, how to bathe her, how to feed her - hell, they both even pose for pictures (it's quite a spectacle to see a 6 foot snake wrapped around a 5 foot woman). 

Thanks so much to Petco for being so awesome. I look forward to buying snake and hermit SUPPLIES (no more pets for me!) from here!

yes the staff are knowledgeble but do have some attitude which should not happen at all we are the customers and should get some more respect

Staff is very knowledgeable, BUT you have to wait entirely too long for assistance even if they're not busy.
