Same groomer has been there for years, she's still the same as she used to be. On multiple occasions I've seen her yell at pets, and move her hand aggressively at them, like hitting with the back of her hand motion. To shave ones Chin it looked like she grabbed it by the hair of it's cheek on one side and pulled up. The dog was shaking and scared. When customers came in she took the dog to the back and when they were gone she brought the same dog back out a few minutes later, not for a bath or anything. I spoke with a lady, a food rep and goes in between stores, she said she's seen her swat at a dog the was being playful with its paw, not mouth, like the manager tried to give the excuse of. I told the manager, doesn't seem like he is going to do anything about it. She shouldn't be yelling at a dog for moving or crying, not an excuse. This store also keeps a certain private rescues cats I used to volunteer there because they take such poor care of their cats. They're always sick, I spent my own money to clean, feed, and bathe them. They'd use the money they got to buy other animals, like a donkey. They'd spay/neuture the cats too early through a mobile vet. A previous employee of the store went to their house and said it's smelt horrible, there were cats every where, along with feces. They use to have them on human medicine, not sure not since I refused to work for them any longer, never gave them antibiotics. I adopted a cat because they said because he wasn't getting adopted they were gonna put him outside like they do their others that don't get adopted, he wasn't even a year old yet. Mind you that was 3 years ago, and they're still there after the manager said they'd try to get rid of them. Refuse to go in this store now.

This is mainly our experience with the reptile associates. They are quite knowledgeable, sometimes we feel they get a little rough on the lizards, but at the same time some reptiles personalities need to have a slightly more firm and confident approach to encourage them to be tamed. We got our red iguana from them at this location. Some associates are a little sheepish when it comes to slightly more "aggressive" reptiles. Just like a dog they need to assert themselves. Not abusive, but more firm. Our red iguana was one of said reptiles. The three green iguanas in the tank were bullies and little Scar (our iguanas name) did not like it. So she bulked up and defended the red and aqua iguana in the tank. She was bulky enough we thought she was a male. But she had several old bites that we're healing one bite cause a bad shed build up on her back. Now I understand she was a little whirlwind of claws and tail that startled the associates. So we adopted her and helped her clean of her shedding. She took about two months of handling to take down and lots of scratches, but now is a registered therapy animals for crowd anxiety and panic attacks. She is still mastering the skill of sitting still on Mommy and Daddy in stores, but getting better. Thanks Petco for understanding us. I say thank you because they understood that getting a pet reptile to bring into your family and be a member of the family requires a few visits and handling. Especially to see if the personalities mesh well.

There was a line of 6 customers, and growing, being served by one cashier, took way too long for the other staff to come out and assist, otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

I wanted to get my dog in for a quick wash and cut. The groomer on the phone was trying to get me in. She had me on hold while she was talking back and forth to another groomer...they were discussing whether I should bring in my dog at 1 or 2 pm. After a few more minutes of her talking back and forth to her colleagues while I could hear everything on the phone...the phone got hung up. I called back and another person gets on the phone and told me to hold, because the goomers were on the phone with other customers. FINALLY one of the two groomers got back on the phone (not the same one I talked to earlier) and told me I can't bring my dog in, there is no availability. That is just so unprofessional!! One person tells you to bring in your dog because there is availability and another person said no and then no one apologized for hanging up the phone on you. It's just poor customer service. I am not bringing my dog there ever again....!!
