I rarely shop here because everything is a third more expensive than any other place.  I wanted a tall gate immediately so I went to buy it there.  When I got it home, it was missing a piece.  I returned it, hoping to get the missing piece from another box.  The piece wasn't there.  So the gate didn't fit.  Okay, not a good design but not their fault.  They found my transaction through my Petco card.  Instead of giving me a refund, they gave me a Petco card.    I said everything you have is a third more expensive than any other place, they said I could find the price and bring in proof and get the same price there.   Except that Petco is making me shop at their store by not giving me a return on my purchase, why would I go to the trouble to find it at a cheaper price and have it matched by them?  I get it cheaper elsewhere.   After I spend this gift card, I will endeavor NEVER to EVER shop at another Petco.  Forcing me to spend the money in their store, rather than competing fairly is a crappy way to do business, in my opinion.

The BEST experience ever!  Maria, a manager at this store went above and beyond to ensure both my kitty and I were very happy!  She is a perfect example of what great customer service should be...I hope she is valued by her employer as she is a rare asset!

The cashier took forever to finish her personal conversation with the customer/friend infront of me and then didn't even say hello when I approached the counter. Handed me my receipt, change and coins in a pile and said have a good day then waved the lady behind me forward. It was so rude and very rushed. Couldn't even put my wallet back into my purse before she was helping someone else. Rude

High prices. Not much help. Groomers are pretty good. Shop there when I have to.

Took my dogs to be groomed about a month ago, only to have one of them come back injured, from what appeared to be cuts left by a brush. Not only was my dog physically hurt but she would not eat, was very sad, and did not want anyone by her. All of which is not the norm for her. I immediately called and spoke to a manager who told me he would view the "tape". I told him my dogs injuries, that is when he said that I should speak with the general manager. At first the general manager acted as if she was concerned, all of which was just an act. I had to take my dog to my vet, she was treated with antibiotics for the cuts (that were strangely in the shape of a brush)she was also placed on special food do to stress to help settle her digestion. I was told by this manager that all would be taken care of, vet bill would be reimbursed. They have reimbursed my grooming costs, that is it. Now this manager is denying she said anything, even denying that tapes exist of grooming. Which is funny cause I was informed by the other managers they record. I have requested to view my dogs tape, only to be told they don't allow the public to view them. Another contradiction considering "there is no tape". Have tried to contact corporate, but you can only get a customer service rep, who only takes name and number. Save yourself a lot of problems, and your pet use a qualified established groomer.
