Best dive bar in La Mesa! Very affordable drinks in a clean, safe and fun environment. Very friendly bartenders and very clean establishment. Doesn’t even feel like a dive bar. There are two pool tables and a outdoor seating area in the back. Easy street parking.

This place is the definition of a neighborhood bar. All of the bartenders become your instant best friend.  It doesn't matter if Jesse, Carl, Raenna or Matt serve you, you will receive personal attention. Cheap pool tables and a clean and fun environment will keep me coming back as often as I can afford.

Been coming here for nearly 12 years now. Love the staff, Jesse, Carl and Matt make the place feel like home. Hands down the best bar in La Mesa. You know you're old school if you came here before the remodel lol

Cool little dive bar.  Clean and nice inside.  Reasonable drink prices and good bartenders.

Great local bar with cheap pool, a jukebox and all the right whiskey you may need. Bartenders are great. You’ll run into 10 people you know from East County, but that’s ok.

Came here late on a Sunday night, and boy was I impressed. $6 margaritas, but $7 shots, meh. Craft and non craft beer was also reasonably priced. Regardless, ambiance and atmosphere was very enjoyable although the seating on the right side of the corner facing the street was very lose and felt like I was going to fall off.

Pete's is always a nice chill place to hang with great drinks!

I've been here a handful of times and there's always a decent crowd and friendly bar tenders. The heated outside patio is also a big plus. Of I lived closer,  I'd visit more often.

This place is pretty awesome. I don't go much but the bartenders here know how to treat a fella! They definitely have a friendly staff and from my observations left no one waiting for drinks or with an empty glass. The feeling when I walked into Pete's Place felt warm and welcoming. Smiles all around and everybody with positive vibes.

Great small town bar with tons of tvs for sports and pool tables. You can't beat it.
