Please do not buy pets from here, Its best to adopt a pet from your local animal shelter.  There are all types of ages , not just older pets. You do realize people complaining about their pets having health problems right ? That's because of the puppy Mills they got going on, Its inhumane, they don't breathe fresh air ever or get to see the sunlight. Breeding pets just for money , it's all greed. . .when they are done with them they just euthanize them . Please look up Puppy Mills to see what I am talking about and educate yourself and others before you think about buying pets from pets stores like these. 

They say they don't work for puppy Mills.. it's the same thing ! It's still a puppy mill business . Producing a lot of puppies and other animals. Don't get brainwashed folks. If you buy from here you're supporting puppy Mills.

I stopped by Petland in Iowa City  last month. I am totally amazed how professional the staff was. How they went over every aspect of purchasing a new puppy for the home. They research the breeds and only purchase the best healthy pups. They are State and USDA licensed which most back yard breeders are not. They have to meet regulations 365 days a year. They have the  formula for selling puppies to the public. They back up what they sell. Great job Petland as I was totally impressed how clean your facility is. The care of your puppies I give you a 5 star rating also. Thank you for such a great experience.

Puppies are around people constantly, they are socialized very well. I have vounteered at the Humane Society my entire life.  I know dogs inside out and upside down. I have never seen a sick dog up for adoption at Petland. Not to say that it hasn’t happened, but I have personally never seen anything to raise eyebrows.

I had such a great experience at pet land in Iowa City! My boyfriend and I stopped in one night just to look around and maybe play with a puppy or two when we laid our eyes on the cutest puppy we have ever seen! I asked one of the girls if we could
hold him and they got him out quickly for us! My boyfriend and I had been tossing around the idea of getting a dog for awhile, but the second we met him it sealed the deal! He was the sweetest playful little boy ever! All of the workers made the process of all the paperwork super easy and understandable! They made sure we understood everything they gave us that came with him along with some basic care things. We couldn't be happier with our Bernese Mountain Dog we decided to name Oliver! Thank you so much petland for bringing us together!
