Terrible grooming service. They shaved my puppies coat completely off because he was “matted”. They fed my puppy treats to calm him -he has thrown up three times and had diarrhea. Don’t take your dog over to PetSmart Groomers.

Clean store and restrooms. Courteous staff. Took my pet in there during a hot day just to cool off for a bit and they were fine with that.

First of all, I have to say that I LOVE Jordan. She has been grooming my dogs and one of my cats since I moved to Santa Fe. She's great with them, always does what I want with their hair, is patient with my grumpy dog, and knows them by name even when we just run into her while shopping in the store. She gets 5 stars from me; I can't say enough good things about her!
Today, however, I had an entirely different and unpleasant experience at this PetSmart. I had booked an appointment online over a week ago for a cat grooming. I tried to book Jordan but she wasn't available until next week and the cat is matted and uncomfortable so I booked the first available appointment. I got a confirmation text for my appointment and at least one, if not two, text reminders. I got up early this morning, put Nugget into a carrier, and drove her to her appointment, only to be told at the check in desk on arrival that they aren't taking any new cat clients. I mentioned that it would've been nice if someone from the store had called me about this prior to my showing up and the girl behind the counter told me it was because I booked online and " sometimes these online appointments take a while to show up". I pointed out that I had booked the appointment a week ago and that it was for today, so surely they must've known I was coming, also, her name was on the welcome board in front of the salon. She just said, "yeah, sorry", very unconvincingly. Then she told me the only place in Santa Fe that does cat grooming is Pete's Pets! Pete's has been out of business for almost 10 years and is a homeless shelter now. I'm pretty sure this girl was in elementary school when Pete's was a pet store. Her other suggestion was to make an appointment in Los Lunas, over an hour away. 
This is not the first negative experience I've had at the grooming salon here, in fact, if it weren't for Jordan I wouldn't go here at all. I honestly wish she'd open up her own little business so I could avoid Petsmart altogether.

I was refused service because my cat had never been there before for grooming. I'll take my dogs elsewhere too and not return for their scheduled appointments In  April. It'll be their loss not mine.
