EDIT: I asked about the betas. I was told that made it easier to acclimate them to their new tanks. I don't know how owners are supposed to know to use an appropriate size tank when they're displayed in small containers and I haven't run this past any fish experts yet, but I'll consent to shop there for the joint supplement I can't find at Earthwise. It's bad. 😞 Used to be a bit better, but they still beta fish in small containers--the betas are startled when you pick them up, and after learning some things about fish I've begun to notice that these seem to have dull colors and fin rot. Their containers aren't filtered, even though they sell filtered tanks... Guess display variety is more important to them than the well-being of the fish. There was the smell of pee and dog when I walked in, and a puddle in the middle of the store that hadn't been cleaned up. I don't blame the nice lady on the cash register, but a male employee walked past without saying anything.... Normally I do like being left alone as I shop, but this time he just struck me as rude. Maintenance, guys. They were the only employees I saw, but to be fair it was 30 mins before closing so that wasn't cool of me. The reptiles were in small containers with fake plants that looked uncomfortable for them, and I'm not sure they had enough enrichment inside their containers. Need verification though. Not sure about the birds. The item selection is fine, but I won't be shopping here.

My second attempt at using their hospital and grooming services since they're right down the road. And the last attempt. The ladies at the counter are rude, condescending, and just overall unpleasant. The young lady checking me in on the grooming sides doesn't seem to want to be there, which in turn, makes me not want to, either. Service was about like the first time I went, so it wasn't a fluke. I just needed my dogs nails clipped. Called the day before, they said it was walk in only, and gave me the hours and fees. So I just walked in. Got so frustrated with them I almost walked right back out while trying to get "checked in", but I didn't have time to go to the other side of town. Next time I will. Couldn't find anywhere on their receipt to leave them feedback so that their management would know. Was almost this bad last time, but last time I actually had an appointment.

I have to say, my cat is NOT the easiest to give a hair cut, at all! But the cat groomer here is doing an excellent job. I didn't leave because it's our first time and I wanted to make sure I'm close by in case they need me for anything. And there I watch Nyx calmly get her hair cut. Like that doesn't happen often 😂 I know where to bring her from now on! Did I mention I arrived 15-20 minutes early to our appointment and she was taken in around 5 minutes later? I'll definitely come back! 💕 --------------------------------------------- Andrea is awesome! Nyx is getting used to her more and more - this time she even let Andrea bath her! We never had an awesome experience like this before, thank Andrea! You're the best!

The store associates and management at the Richardson location are absolutely AMAZING! I adopted a puppy last night and the manager walked through the store with me to help me with items that I would need to help train my new lil bundle of joy and other essentials. She also showed me this coupon book for puppies and it saved me over $60 on things I was already going to purchase. There are still hundreds of dollars in coupons I can use for her. In addition to that, when I left last night, I forgot her paperwork in the basket and left the kennel at the register. This morning, I went there when the store was still closed with hopes that the paperwork would still be in the basket, but it wasn't there. Just then, an associate was walking in. I told her my story and showed her my transaction from my bank app since my receipt was with the paperwork. She politely asked me to wait at the register and got the manager. He immediately looked for the paperwork and found it for me. He also offered to carry the kennel to the car for me. I could not be more grateful for these folks. They truly went above and beyond in a situation where I was pressed for time to get to work. Thank you so much for showing me so much kindness!! You guys are the best!!
