Love this PetSmart! Great place to bring your pets for grooming, daycare, Veterinary assistance, mingling with live creatures for sale, adopting cats (and dogs on pre-planned adoption days)! Tons of food, toys, and bedding  for all your furry, feathery, fishy, scaley friends! Pop in and see for yourself! Kids love it here as much as the adults!

I brought my dog to stay at the petsmart doggy hotel on Thursday. I picked her up this morning, Monday February 19, 2017 at around 11:30am. I noticed she was COVERED in pee AND poop! I call the store and ask to speak with a manager. I told them how disgusting it was. So they wanted me to bring her back and they would rewash her and refund me. I told them I couldn’t come back until around 5pm because I had to get my son down for a nap. After his nap I pack him up and the dog back up and we went all the way back to the petsmart so they could rewash her and refund me. I was there at 4:45pm. No one helped up until 5:10pm. Then they were done with her at 6:15pm. She was still wet when they gave her to me. She smelled good as well. They had no problem refunding me but they did tell me I didn’t pay for an exit bath so it wasn’t their fault. They told me she was walked twice a day as well. 

1 no, I didn’t ask for an exit bath because she had been bathed before she went. 

2 she shouldn’t have needed a bath. 

3 upon finding out they only take them out of the cages twice a day which means of course she’s going to pee in the kennel because no one could only go to the bathroom twice a day. 

Now that I finally have my son in bed I had a minute to sit down with her, SHE IS STILL COVERED IN PEE!!! They washed her head and her back but they didn’t get her stomach or feet!!! I called the manager again, she said they were probably rushed.... which is an unacceptable excuse especially being that I brought her ALL the way back to have them rewash her. I just had to give her another bath and guess what, her white fur is white again and not yellow. 

This is totally unacceptable and inhumane.  These animals NEED to be let out of their kennels MORE then twice a day!!!!

I started bringing my now 10 year old golden retriever to PetSmart grooming many years ago.First starting in Norwalk.  My golden is a bit nervous and quirky but sweet as can be. Usually after grooming she would go through a few days of recovery. Having difficulty getting up and around. It was different groomers so it wasn't someone specific. She then started seeing Joshua. Immediately we noticed she wasn't having to go through any recovery time. She looked great and felt great. Joshua then transferred from Norwalk to Stamford and so did we. Last few months my dog has been struggling with some repercussions of taking Apoquel for a few weeks and has had a rough time and was overdue for her regular grooming. Once again yesterday she saw Joshua and  came home looking beautiful and feeling great. We so much appreciate Joshua's professionalism and loving care for our beautiful golden. As far as any other employees we have had contact with, also very nice and professional.
