Picking the right doctor here is vital. Some doctors are very poor medical professionals, bordering on unethical, while others are very kind and wonderful. Specifically, one doctor made an error when taking too much tissue on a cervical biopsy, caused severe bleeding, either did not get a good sample or lost it since it disappeared before the getting to the lab, then asked my husband during his own check up later with the same doc how my cancer was going when we were told it was NOT cancer (my husband also waited 2hrs past his apt time for this doc; he is very over worked). He not only mixed me up with another patient but frightened my husband whom I haven't approved release of information. He never even called me to apologize despite my many calls to the office with concern. However all other doctors I have seen and assistants are fine docs. Please be careful with choosing which doctor and research which one.
