The amount of crime that goes on here is outrageous. I would never in my wildest dreams recommend this hotel to even my worst enemy. Just today (8/10/16) there was a body discovered that had been there for several days. I can't think of one hotel aside from this one that doesn't have a staff member come check on their guests at least once a day. But ESPECIALLY if there had been no communication or sight of the tenant for like I said, several days. The entire situation is heartbreaking. There are broken glass, condoms, & caps to what I would assume are hypodermic needles everywhere. Burn marks from what appear to be from lit cigarettes throughout the rooms & there is always mountains of trash on the side of the building & to the least of the matter the grass surrounding the establishment hasn't been cut since who knows when. You would think someone would have enough sense to report such a nightmare of a place but when little to no people speak up about their expierence I guess this is to be expected. I hate that I even had to give it one star but that is the least I could give it & I hope that more people will read this & feel encouraged to do the same. Picayune has the potential to be such a beautiful place but when we have establishments with such a high crime rate & people that continue to keep a closed mouth nothing will ever be done about it. Here's  to hoping that you or your family members never find themselves in a position to where you have to stay here or a place like it. You too might open your door only to see body bags & toe tags. First of all me and my finance we rented a room at picayune Motel for the month of March what a big mistake they are full of bed bugs I gotten bit by the bed bugs I had to go the er at the hospital and the people in the office are so rude and nothing but drugs heads please don't go there especially if you have kids picayune Motel should be shut down they will not do any thing about the bed bugs very nasty people lives there when I showed my leg where I got bit by the bugs they just looked at me like I was stupid so please people please don't go there

I have been going through Picayune for a few years now. We stayed at this little motel off of the highway for the first time. They were very friendly and were even opened on Christmas because of a bad storm that was coming through. Real nice staff gave us extra blankets because there was 5 of us without any hassel. Older place though and needed to be renovated but overall excellent place.
