Usually I have a pretty good experience there, but lately they don't have enough staff to the point to where the phone was ringing off the hook and nobody answered which included me earlier this morning. They didn't welcome me When I walked in and just gave me the sign in sheet. I waited and waited and when I asked how much longer they couldn't even give me an estimation. They make the kids feel comfortable and that's the only reason why I gave them any stars. I'm not paying almost $20 for a trim when getting that kind of service so I left

Terrible experience. When I booked the appointment for my 9 month old daughter to get her ears pierced, I was told they were very proffesional and she would be in great hands. Not the case. One of the girls got the gun stuck in her ear and they both had to basically pry it off as she was screaming in pain. When they finally did get it off I realized she had pierced it on the bottom part of her lobe. They then told me they would have to redo it so she had to endure the pain for a second time in one ear. I was not happy but tried to be understanding that things happen. She explained to me they would give me a discount for the trouble which I appreciated until I went up to the counter to realize she gave me $4 off a $50 service. I was very insulted and felt like that was not acceptable for what my baby had gone through. I would think twice about getting your little ones ears pierced here.

I'm very happy with the service at Pigtails & Crewcuts at the Orchard shopping center. My son has been going here since his very first haircut when he was 1, he is now going to be 5 years old. I love how they're very patient and welcoming. We love & very pleased with our stylist Amber. She's very nice, friendly, patient, & doesn't rush with the haircut. She has never once gave a bad haircut to my son. My son loves going there for a haircut to play with the toys while we wait, & he enjoys seeing his stylist Amber everytime. I'm very glad that they made a salon just for kids.

PARENTS BEWARE!! This was our second visit to Pigtails and Crewcuts Orchard Town Center with our 2 year old little girl. Noting- I had a friend book the " Kids Haircut" appointment online days prior to our visit. The appointment was made for 11:30am on March 30, 2017. When it came time to the scheduled appointment day to get my little ones haircut, it was decided that since she had very few hairs on her head to begin with and certainly not enough for a haircut. She just needed a trim off her bangs. ( We remembered from the last wonderful visit, the hairstylist had asked what we wanted to do prior to the cut so I didn't think to tell the front desk ladies that we were just wanting a bang trim this time around.) We signed in at 10:53am and the front desk lady mentioned they should be able to get us in before our 11:30am scheduled appointment. As promised they got us in with hairstylist Jessica a little after 11:12am. This was the reason I gave a 3 star rating. Our hairstylist from the get go seemed rushed as the place was quite busy and she had just finished a haircut on my friends 2 year old boy. My little girl chose the police car and she was then put in a smock. Jessica proceeded to ask me what we were doing today and I told her just a trim to the bangs. Everything was going well,bangs were trimmed and then she asked if I would like a little off the back with NO explanation that this so called bang trim was turning into a "Kids Haircut". (I was thinking all along that this was still considered a trim as NOW the only 2 areas touched were my little ones bangs and back length of new growth.) Jessica had finished her service and asked my approval on the cut. I said it looked fine as she told me my little girls bangs were trimmed without water so they won't shrink and her sides still needed to grow out a bit. I told her oh OK thank you. I then mentioned to her what my little ones everyday up-do is and she then asked if I wanted her to put it in a pony tail. If the hairstylist would have be totally up front with me, I would've politely declined as she had plenty of opportunities to let me know that the back trim and ponytail was extra. We Made our way to the front desk for check out where Jessica was standing next to the front desk ladies. I was a little taken back when the front desk lady says $18.95 and Jessica didn't say a word. Despite our unpleasant experience, a cash tip of $6 was still given to the hairstylist as she did provide a service. To be honest, I feel that this "Kids Haircut" was extremely over priced especially for what little was done. The only hairs that were cut on my 2 year olds head were the bangs and not even noticeable length trimmed off the back. Was I just paying for the pony tail with ribbon (that I could've done myself) or the experience of my little one sitting in a car chair and watching a movie on the big screen and then picking a treasure out from their treasure chest? Update as of 2:17pm 3/31- We received an email from the salon owner offering to make things right with a refund offer of not just the "Kids Haircut" but the tip as well. This issue is currently being resolved as we happily accepted the salon owners refund offer to use at a later date.

The first experience is what brought us back... THAT visit was awesome! However the next one, not so much.... There was a wait when I got there, no big deal there. They do have plenty of stuff to entertain the kids. Only one person cutting hair but I heard several voices in the back room. Another stylist finally came up only to hold a baby for a mother getting her hair done. Again, being a mom I understood this as well....FINALLY it was my daughters turn. The lady cutting her hair (didn't get her name) just started combing and yanking my daughters hair. I asked if she was ok before mama bear came out and my daughter said she was ok... this continued with the stylist forcing her head into a position to cut her hair evenly I guess, again I asked my child if she was ok. And again she said softly that she was.... then I asked to give her some bangs with a long layer.... joke! I could have done what she did. Last but not least we get home and my daughter's hair was UNEVEN in the back...NEVER going back. Overpriced for the lack of knowledge and compassion they have about working with kids!
