On word... incompetent! I stopped there to have a 5x10 single axle trailer weighed so I could get a license plate. I am not a trucker, so this is my first time at a weigh scale. I pull onto the scale with my Jeep and the trailer, push the button for assistance and ask them how I need to be positioned to weigh just the trailer. The girl responding said I was fine, they had the weigh slip inside. I find a parking spot, go in and she says it weighs over 6,000 lbs. Now, I'm no rocket scientist, but I know that's not right. This other employee there looks at it and agrees. She blames him and then tells me I have to weigh it again with only the trailer wheels on the scale. I won't even get into tongue weight here. So I do this and go back inside, wait for my slip, which seems right at 840 lbs. There is no charge due to my inconvenience and their incompetence. I am halfway out the door when I notice the handwritten information on the weigh slip is all shifted up and in the wrong fields. Knowing that I have a 45 minute drive back to the lovely BMV to get my plate, I don't want the BMV to reject the form because it is not filled out right, causing me to have to drive back to the scales, so I go back in to ask her fix to it. She wants to argue that it is filled out correctly, but then gives in to filling out another form. She then verifies the weight again with the other guy, paper punches the slip and hands it to me. Once again, I'm halfway through the door when I realized she only punched the 40 spot and not the 800, so basically the weigh slip indicated my trailer only weighs 40 lbs. So I go back in to the guy this time and ask him if the 800 shouldn't also be punched and he agrees, punching the slip and handing it back without even an apology or a thank you. Such a simple task that turned into a very frustrating event that doesnt make me want to ever go there again.

Newer, well maintained, clean hot showers. Decent comparable selection and the food is good.

This place has a very nice in and out. But like every truck stop you got fat lazy drivers parking in the fuel lanes instead of in the parking area.
