This used to be one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite, but after visiting again it appears to have gone downhill. What used to be a meticulously clean restaurant feels disgusting. There was mold growing in the bottom of the drink machine, the tables and walls were gunky and the ceiling vent above the food storage was black with...something. My food was fine, but the lettuce on my Dagwood was definitely past its prime. Service was really, really slow. There was a festival a couple of blocks away and only one person working both the counter and the grill.

I love a good pita, The service here has gotten a lot better than it was in the past few have hired Additional staff which has helped immensely. -About 6 months ago there was a longer wait times for service and there was not a good customer experience. -I have been there a few times since the beginning of May 2017 and the service has gotten much better. I recommend this place.

So happy pita pit is in downtown Tacoma. The Dagwood is the best!

I have loved the Pita Pits food for years now. I love the Dagwood, probably the best sandwich they have. You cant go wrong at the Pita Pit.

Delicious! Recommend the falafel pita or salad with their special sauce, save the tahini though it is good also.
