Story

The Old Spaghetti Factory is a family owned and operated restaurant, founded in Portland, Oregon in 1969 by Guss and Sally Dussin. Dedicated to satisfying dining in warm surroundings, The Old Spaghetti Factory is located on Jefferson Street, one block off Pacific Avenue, just a short drive from downtown and the Tacoma Dome. Nearby you can find the city's Theater District, the State History Museum, the beautifully restored Union Station and Antique Row's shops. My husband and I went to this place for the first time today, and we were pleasantly surprised! I loved the interior design, the old fashioned colorful lamps, the trolley in the middle of the place (with tables inside!), and the overall ambience. The food was so delicious I forgot to snap a picture (we HIGHLY RECOMMEND the crab ravioli in pesto sauce... they were AMAZING!!). The cherry on top was the customer service we received from our waiter Joe, who was very entertaining, attentive and overall very nice. We'll be leaving Seattle tomorrow, but if we ever return, we'll definitely come back for more deliciousness!

The Old Spaghetti Factory is amazing. If you're looking for a great place to take someone on a date: this is the spot. Fair priced meals that taste fantastic, and will fill you up! With each meal you get complimentary fresh baked bread before your dish, and then at the end either spumoni or vanilla ice cream. The place itself is pretty neat too, there's an old-school train car smack dab in the middle of the restaurant that you can eat in. Overall I really have nothing bad I can say about this place!

Great atmosphere, reasonable prices. Parking is in the garage on commerce street. Before 4pm you have to pay for it but Old Spaghetti Factory will reimburse you. They have a to go counter that is really fast. The staff has always been super friendly. I've noticed with large parties more than 4, the service is not as great, it can take a really long time to get seated and served.

It would have been a 5 star if it weren't for the wait time miscommunication. They wouldn't take a reservation over the phone, so my husband went ahead of us to get us on the list, party of 13. They told him a 20 minute wait. He said ok, great. We just kept watching as more and more people kept getting seated. They came and apologized saying it was going to be more like 30 minutes, so they'd give us a free appetizer. We finally got seating after AN HOUR. It was bad enough for us adults, but the 5 kids were SO HUNGRY. Waiting like that can be tough on kids. Our waiter was AMAZING. He stayed on top of things & we got our food fairly fast...and the food was great, as usually.

Quick, friendly, and upbeat service. The location has changed since my last visit. Very clean. Delicious bread and pasta. The salad could have perked up a bit but the spinach tortellini was amazing!
