Our little dog ran off suddenly and we were frantic! We called Animal Control for advice and direction. An officer (Steve C) arrived quickly, listened respectfully to the details, and began to scour the adjacent street. Our dog is blind, mildly disabled, and not familiar with the neighborhood, but full of energy. Sure enough, the officer's calm and professional demeanor brought our dog out from a dim hiding place in the next block--where the officer carefully reached out and enticed the frightened pup into his arms. Safety, kindness and intelligence describe this officer. He saved the day and made us even more proud to live in Pittsburgh. Animal Control includes some unsung heros of our City. Thank you, Steve!
