The Pizza Lady has been serving up the best pizza and Italian specialties, including our catering services, in town for more than 30 years.
The Pizza Lady has a long history in the Westerly/Pawcatuck area dating back to the 1940's, when Rose La Pere Provenzano, my great-aunt, baked pizza in her basement in a wood fired oven.
After baking through the night she would drive through local neighborhoods, knocking on doors to sell her pizza. Many people today can still remember, as kids, seeing her pizza wagon coming down the street and exclaiming, "Here comes The Pizza Lady!"
The tradition has been passed down through the generations. Now their children and grandchildren have grown-up with The Pizza Lady. I'm proud to have been a part of that tradition as a child, to continue it today, and to keep it going for years to come.
