I've been coming to this office for the past 5 years. The staff is all so friendly and always helpful when I have to call in for any reason. They know my kids and my family and make us feel so welcomed when we come in for a visit. The office is always clean and the atmosphere is always pleasant. We never have to wait to long to be called back. The dentists and dental assistants are all professional while making you feel so welcomed. I have never had a bad experience and I recommend this office to my family and friends.

I had to change my review again. I went back to get my crown finished. He himself is EXCELLENT. It's his assistant & the front office that I had a problem with & made a bad impression on me. The front office messed up my appointments several times, they didn't even know what tooth they were working on. His assistant was also the problem. She didn't know what she was doing, maybe she was in training. I didn't like being her guinea pig. She took over an hour to pack around the tooth when I was getting my temporary crown. She scratched & scraped around the tooth and other parts of my mouth so bad, it took almost a month for it to heal. She messed up the impression for my temporary crown, the doctor took impression of permanent crown & had to show her how pull it out without messing it up. The temporary crown was awful, didn't fit right & after a month, I still could tell which one it was & still had difficulty chewing on that side. I dredded going back, but I had already paid for it. I went back for the permanent crown, she couldn't remove the temporary. She started scratching my mouth again & moving the whole tooth & I could feel the root being moved. I stopped her & asked for the doctor. Wow.. what a difference it made, he knew exactly how to pop it out with one tug. He finished the whole thing in 30 minutes. The permanent crown (he had done the impression) feels & looks fantastic. As long as HE does the work, I will be happy.

Went here a few years ago and they were great. A few days ago I called to schedule an appointment, I provided two different days I could come in. I was told they could schedule me for Wednesday 10 am which was great so I said yes schedule me for then. I show up Wednesday at 10 am and am greeted by a woman at the desk who curtly tells me my appointment is at 11 am. I tell her I was told 10 am and that was disappointing I was told the wrong time. She takes an attitude and was acting as if it was my fault and was inconveniencing her when 1) it was their mistake, not mine and 2) I'm the customer here so please don't act like I'm creating a problem for you. She did offer to get someone to see me at 10 so I waited around for 15 minutes and gave up. Also this is apparently a frequent problem for planet smile, look at some of the other google reviews. Plenty of other dentists offices in austin area I can go to and guess what? Many of them offer online appointment scheduling and will send you a confirmation of your appointment so this sort of thing doesnt happen. Also I'm sure they have a more professional and friendly front office staff. Planet smile -- not recommended.

They told me my 17 year old son had his first cavity. They also informed me he had a wisdom tooth that is impacted. When I went for a second opinion at another dental office- my son had NO CAVITY and the wisdom tooth was not impacted!!!!!!
