Living in North Berkeley with a less than gorgeous garden space naturally makes one envious of their neighbors. After enduring our lackluster, disjointed backyard for far too long, this spring we reached out to Michael and the Planted Earth team for help. 

We received a prompt response from Planted Earth, and Michael came out to meet with us within days for an initial survey of our yard. His team then provided us with a design and accommodated our subsequent feedback into a revamped design. 

Based on our relationship with Michael and Planted Earth's reputation elsewhere, we decided to go ahead with the project – replacing our irrigation with efficient drip, planting natives and other Mediterranean species more adaptable to California's dry climate and infusing design with artfully placed boulders and stone work. 

Two months later, we are delighted with Planted Earth's design, spend far more time in the backyard than we used to, and no longer let our eyes stray the garden space next door. Would recommend them to anyone. Thanks Michael & team!
