Plato's Closet® is all about being fashion savvy and shopping smart. We specialize in gently used clothes and accessories for teen and twenty something girls and guys. All stores are independently owned franchises.

At Plato's Closet® you'll find a huge selection of trendy, designer styles as well as those every day basics you can't live without - all at up to 70% off mall retail prices!

Our stores buy and sell girls sizes 00/1 to 18/20 and guys size 28 to 40 waist. The gently used clothing and accessories that we buy are: top-name brands, cool, hip, trendy, and clean. Typically we buy items that have been in the retail stores within the past 12 to 18 months.

Our process is quick and easy:

1. Go through your overflowing closet
2. Bring in your cool stuff
3. Walk out with new cool stuff or $$$ in your pocket!

I took in a large tote,a large plastic bag of coats,boots, and sandals, as well as a small bag of accessories. It would of took them at least 30 min to an he to go through but I was texted within 15 minutes that they were complete. Out of all that they purchased 1 item off the top and told me they needed more casual items and sandals. I told the young lady that there was 3 pair of brand new sandals at the bottom of the bag as well as a few older pair. They CLEARLY not only by the time it took but the lack of knowledge of what was in the bags didn't service me fully. I won't be back took my items to the VIA instead.

Went to this store in hopes to sell some of my name brand and great conditioned clothing. I brought in a huge box full of hardly worn clothes with some that still had tags on. I walked around the store and checked out some of the clothes while the staff went through my box. I watched as the guy who went through my box picked up a fist full of brand new dresses, and set them on the counter without giving them a second look. I continued to watch, as I thought that he might look at them later, but instead he threw them back in my box. Within six minutes, the guy who went through my box was done with it and my box had at least 40 pieces of clothing in it. The clothing in the box consisted of all of the brands that they had asked for on their website including Victoria Secret, Hollister, American Eagle, Aeropostale, etc.. While looking through the stores clothes I found SEVERAL pieces of clothing that had stains and were very dingy. When I went to the checkout to see if they took any of my clothes,  I was told that my clothing was "noticeably worn" and wasn't what the store was looking for. Out of all of my clothing, they had only taken THREE pieces of clothing that weren't even name brand! On top of all of this, the staff was very unfriendly. Waited for a dressing room for about 10 minutes without getting noticed until I had to go to the checkout and ask. When asked, the worker seemed pissed off to even be bothered. Definitely will not be going back to the store or selling clothes there again. Highly recommend taking your clothes to Salvation Army instead, where you'll receive better service.

I brought in a tote of items, some brand new, some barely worn. They spent about 15 min going through my items and only bought 3 things. They bought a Walmart brand zip up over a brand new Columbia jacket. I had barely worn American eagle jeans, Vanity sandals, adidas and many more name brand items that were not purchased because of “discoloration” and “wear”. I would NOT recommend trying to sell your items here.

So I took a brand new coach bag and brand new nike Hurraches sneakers in and was offered $42 took it back later the same day (after shift change) and with 3 more items in the basket was offered $140... the heavy set man that works during the day is rude and doesn’t know how to price stuff! Both my items were brand new in original packaging for shoes and had original receipts and tags in Coach purse. Once I’ve read through the comments and other reviews on here I realized it is a repeated complaint at this location. I’ve been to 10-15 different Plato’s in different cities and your location by far has the worst selection of items for sale and by far the WORST buying experience! The items for sale are tattered, dingy, fizzy & overwashed. My previous time being in they said they do not buy high heels yet they have multiple racks of them. The brands they are buying are not even what’s totally om style. Who is going to pay $55 for a used Kate Spade purse?? You need to teach them to look at sites like EBay & Mercari to ensure you’re pricing your items relatively. Found same Kate Spade purse online for $17 free shipping...... overall not a good Plato location and would definitely recommend you go elsewhere you’ll be disappointed if you spend any length of time digging their racks.

Most of your clothing is great, but the selling here is the worst.  The first time I came, they would only take 3 items, even though I tried my best to follow what they want. It makes me seem as if you guys are picky and take only stuff that you like. It's not really fair. Also, the prices are a little high for second-hand clothing (unless you're selling Adidas or something).   I thought this would be a good way to get money, but I feel as if I've been wronged. I'm planning to come a second time, but if this happens again, I'm probably not coming back.
