There is nothing relaxing about this place. This is the new location. My first time. Still under construction. Half the sauna room was covered in black tarp and duct tape floor to ceiling. I was not informed the sauna was co-ed. Several people in street clothes were given tours of the sauna while I was trying to have a relaxing experience. I gave up on the sauna well before the hour was up. I expect dim lighting and soft voices at a spa facility. The place is lit up like a hospital. Therapists hanging out in the hallway on their phones and chatting. It sounded like a cocktail party was going on outside my massage room. That was in between tours when the receptionist was apologizing for the construction over and over. I also don’t think I should be able to hear the receptionist taking phone calls and making appointments during my massage. This was a Valentines experience that was purchased for me as a gift that should have included wine and chocolates. After seeing several couples being served theirs prior to their experience. I was informed mine would be after. When I approached the front desk at the end the receptionist was on the phone. While still on the phone she held up a glass and mouthed “ do you want a glass of wine?”. When I said no she handed me my chocolates and told me to have a good night. Worst spa experience ever!

Plaza West Massage went through a difficult time recently and was closed for a while due to fire at their old location.  Like a firebird, they emerged better than before with a beautiful new facility located in a cool historic building downtown.   Matthew, their senior practitioner, is an extremely talented massage therapist and has an intuitive understanding of the body. He has resolved a number of problems for me that if I had tried other healing methods I’m sure would have taken longer and cost more.

Jennifer did my massage! Pure perfection. I have no clue why some ratings are so low but there is no way this place deserves less than 4-5 stars. I was treated very kindly. They gave me fresh water to go and Jennifer really worked on pretty much everything. I left feeling amazing. The prices are very reasonable. THANK YOU PLAZA WEST MASSAGE & DAY SPA! ☆ See you all soon!

If I could leave 0 stars, I would.  Bought a Groupon back in February for a Spa Package for 2.  Couldn't even get in for an appointment till July 29th. Then on July 28th at 2 pm, I get a call telling me they are canceling my appointment because they had a fire MONTHS AGO.  I can't believe that the only consideration they have is to call the afternoon before.  To avoid total disappointment - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Total scam.
