This local PODS franchise was exceedingly helpful. They sent emails letting me know when I could expect my POD from Chicago to be delivered and gave me detailed instructions to make sure that their arrival and drop off went smoothly. We had an unexpected 4 inches of snow the morning it was scheduled to be delivered, and when we got the call that they were on their way, we did our best to clear the snow and ice for them to drop off the unit. There was just no way we could get it all perfectly cleared, and although they can charge if you the area isn't cleared well enough for them, the gentleman didn't charge us extra and was very helpful in getting it delivered quickly. He was so courteous and hard working we offered him a tip, which he denied. Our experience with PODS in Chicago was lacking, but the local service in Sioux Falls is exceptional. Highly recommend!

I love this place. And the sweet gentleman that works there is an absolute miracle worker.  I needed to get into my pod, but because of the recent hurricane their main office in Florida was shut down. This guy went above and beyond to not only find my pod, but to immediately take it down for me so that I could get into it. And Mary,  Who also works there, is an absolute angel as well. God bless them!

The Pod. The most difficult step of our recent move, hands down. Trying to work out a pick-up, drop-off date was almost impossible because we were basically forced to cater to their time frames that were usually 7+ days but "maybe there could be a cancellation in the next few days."
Finally on the day of the drop off the delivery driver tried to explain why he could not drop it in our designated Loading/Unloading zone that had already been approved not only by our building but then later the City itself! In the meantime I secured another area for the pod to be dropped off on a private parking area by the permission of the owner/operator. Again, the delivery driver stated he could not do that until he himself had confirmation.
Now, I understand rules and regulations but when my authorization was met with blatant resistance from the delivery guy because the drop was more unorthodox than what he was used to, I was pissed. 
Icing on the cake was his suggestion to bring OUR pod back to their facility and unload it there! Ummm, no. That defeats the ENTIRE reason of getting the stupid thing!

Unprofessional, Unreasonable, and simply just a major thorn in my side through what could've been a nice smooth transition.

Never will use them again, and will deter others as well.

This is the best way to move in my opinion. I thought about getting a storage unit but such a hassle. Load after load, back and forth. With pods, you load it, they move it, then you unload it. So damn convenient.  I loved it
