Amazing! This restaurant was recommended to us by a local merchant (Patricia at Madrigal's wine shop) and it was amazing. Our table was ready promptly. Our waiter, Alex, greeted us with a smile and friendly demeanor. He recommended need the grilled calamari, risotto and halibut for our pescatarian diet. Everything was delicious and well seasoned. The atmosphere is laid back but refined. An espresso Martino and brandy after dinner was perfect dessert.

Old school Italian cuisine with a modern twist. My girlfriend is from Venice and she went giddy over the menu options. The food we had was exceptional quality, as was the wine. An easy five star review.

I'm a little torn on this review, as Poggio used to be my go-to spot for date nights with my wife. We'd make Saturday evening reservations, and eat here for hours enjoying ourselves. However, after our last visit I can tell that the service is extremely hit or miss. You could easily tell that our waitress was focusing on the tables of her choice, and not all assigned to her section. Maybe we didn't look 'local' enough to her and she thought we were one-time customers/tourists, which is ironic as we've been there a ton. It was unfortunate for us, since we've had great service in the past. I also had to send back my Bucatini as it was extremely dry, which I've never done before. My request to do so was met with some attitude via the waitress, who noted "well that's the sauce" when I explained how dry it was. No, that's not the sauce. It's dry, and it actually needs some sauce... I've ordered this dish every time I come here, so clearly I have some familiarity with it. It's really too bad, but we'll be trying out some other restaurants for date nights in the future.

My family and I enjoyed a meal at Poggio during a recent visit from Nebraska. It was definitely a special meal to remember! The atmosphere is quite fancy, but they let us in despite our dusty Muir Woods attire. The prices were a little higher than we are used to, but the service was good and the food was great. I ordered the gnochi with beef ragu, which was excellent. I will remember this meal forever!

The food is delicious. Vegetarian options are very few though. Loved the dessert options. Good service.
