Story

Traditional Italian in the heart of Downingtown! Affiliated with Anthony's Pizza and Italian Restaurant in Malvern, PA, owner, Tony, wanted to bring the same classic recipes and family Italian to Downingtown, PA. We are a BYOB in Downingtown, PA serving classic and specialty Italian dishes featuring many recipes passed down from the owners Sicilian grandmother, including fresh baked bread, homemade angle hair and our famous red sauce! Please call for private parties and catering. Eat in or take out.

I went to lunch with my sister, Patti, a few days ago. The atmosphere was great, we were there at lunch and there were several tables of people enjoying their lunch. We were served immediately, and I ordered the Lasagna, which came with a beautifully prepared salad. I figured that whatever was left, in case there was something left, I would have for dinner. The salad was fresh, lettuce perfectly crisp and tasty, cheese lightly sprinkled throughout, and it was delicious. I love salad but often there is a bitter taste to the lettuce. This was delicious. Patti had a salad, and it was GORGEOUS. So much food, and she ordered a small one! Then the lasagna came, and I could only eat a portion of it. It was a very rich homemade tasting authentic lasagna, and it was very well seasoned, with enough seasoning yet not overpowering...simply delicious. During our fabulous lunch both the owner Tony and his wife Claudia came to visit us, which has never happened at many of the other restaurants. My sister asked when they would have haddock again because she loves his treatment of seafood as well. She said he is very discriminating about the freshness of fish, and that is why she always tries to get it when it is in the house. I told them how wonderful the lasagna was, and how delicious their food is. When we were ready to leave, my lasagna had so much left, I only ate 1/3 of it, so Claudia stopped by to take my dish and pack it up for me. I love that, because it shows extra care during your dining experience. Of course, when I came in with lasagna after the great lunch experience, my son stole my lasagna and he enjoyed it as well! Now I guess we will just have to return to Pomodoro's Pizza and Italian Restaurant ASAP! If you get a chance make sure you do, too!

Local establishment, this mom and pop has the BEST seafood bisque in the region! Sometimes lacks parking, but parking on the street usually available. A little pricey, but food ia good. Atmosphere perfect for date night.

REAL DEAL! Absolutely Fantastic Authentic Italian Cuisine! Fresh homemade foods you cannot find anywhere else! Everything I try is Excellent!

The food is always delicious. Everything is fresh, and is always spot on. The portions are big, too. I recommend this place to anyone.
