Ponce de Leon Springs State Recreation Area is a Florida State Park in Holmes County, Florida. It is located in the town of Ponce de Leon, a half mile south of U.S. 90 on C.R 181A. The address is 2860 Ponce de Leon Springs Road.Approximately 14 million gallons of pure water emerges daily from the Ponce de Leon Spring. Spring water emanates from the aquifer deep underground keeping it at a cool 68 degrees year round. Beautiful spring! Water was amazing, clear and great place to snorkel. One of the prettiest places I have ever been to swim. They have picnic tables, areas to grill, bathrooms and changing areas, and a rock to jump off of into the water. Snorkeling here was fun as some places in the spring reach to about 30 feet, fish swim around you, also there are more swallow parts to stay in as well. Would love to go back, and will recommend to others!

Fun and family friendly spot!!! Water is gorgeous. Clean and safe park. Be ready for cold water!!! It's a shocker but on a 90+ degree day, very nice to cool off. The kids don't mind the cold at all. Will definitely return. Go early as parking is limited and it gets very busy on hot Florida summer days. $4 entrance fee per car. Well worth it. Plenty of picnic tables. Bring your cooler and food and enjoy the day.

Beautiful swimming area.  Definitely cold.  Nice way to cool off.  The water is crystal clear and the park is clean.  There are picnic tables.  Gets  busy after noon.  We got there early and it worked out great.  Bring bug spray, mosquitoes lurking in shade.

Incredible beauty and cold at the same time. Even with about 150 or more people there when I went the water was still clear. Decently set up facilities, staff was average. The way they have it set up is very good. I would highly recommend going here when it hits above 100, and even if it's not.

My favorite swimming spot in the world.
Great snorkeling. 
No Diving 
No indoor shower. 
Has bathroom facilities
Handicap parking
Wheelchair accessible.  My daughter is in a wheelchair. 
Great staff.
Cold clean water
Pavilions (call and reserve)
Nature trails
Dogs allowed but not in the main swimming area. Pretty sure they have to be on a lead.
