Stopped in to get a meal before GSU homecoming. It was my first time and trust me when I say this place is worth stopping in. Let me forewarn you, the food is very spicy but in a good way. Don't look for upscale silverware but the service and hospitality was great!!! If you live here or just passing through its well worth checking it out.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was good. The waiter was kind. But that is about where the good qualities ended. The sampler platter appetizer surely is a misnomer as this "platter" was a tiny basket with hardly enough food for three people. The hush puppies were undercooked. And the boudin balls had way too much rice, it was essentially fried rice balls. The food took a long time to come out. When the food finally came, I was pleased by the portion size. But the catfish which everyone had raved about was at its best, boring. The catfish was cooked well, but very poorly seasoned. It had no flavor at all. It wasn't bad. Just quite frankly disappointing. And all the while, one of the salads we ordered never came. Displeased with the entire restaurant.

Very good seafood restaurant in the area. I ordered the catfish plate; the portions are very large and could honestly be shared among a couple if desired. The service was fairly sluggish when I visited. It was after the lunch crowd and our appetizer took about 15-20 minutes to arrive. But other than that, great food and hope to visit again the next time I'm in Ruston.

The atmosphere was nice. Seated right away. But the service after ordering was horrible. The waitress never came back to table had to ask for our salads, after about 20 to 25 minutes,asked 3 times another waitress for napkins and to refill drinks. Was ignored twice by the girl that seated us asking for our waitress. Finally seen our waitress had to get up from table to ask for tickets. One of the worst experiences of service I have ever had. The food was ok. Not anything to brag about. Very disappointed. I am from out of town. When I visit Ruston again I would not return there to eat and would not recommend. Sorry
