Okay, the wait is usually pretty long and the servers usually have a bit of an attitude and take time to have personal conversations with people they recognize instead of working, but that's fine... that's a minimum wage job for you. This time however, after waiting 25 minutes for my food I politely inquired as to how much longer it would take, and was told I'm sorry sir it looks like we cancelled your order. Unacceptable, it's actually faster and more reliable to drive to the one on the other side of town.

I've never really cared about quality of service, as long as I'm driving away with what I ordered. I mention that simply because I see a good number of reviews about service (they're paid minimum wage people). I'd say steer clear though unless you just want a blast or some other ice cream treat or a fountain drink. Burgers are essentially foil bags with grease. Bread will be soaking wet by the time you get it home. White gravy is almost entirely watered down. There have been times where the gravy is almost clear (once you can see through your gravy stop watering it down please!). Hard for these places that have such a varied menu to have everything available and fresh, I get that.

This sonic is freaking terrible. I've been sitting in my car with it running for 7.45 minutes. It could have been longer since I started timing after I have pushed the call but 4 times. The customer service is an absolute joke. They do not answer with any kindness and always rush to finish your order. Hey don't repeat your order to you and want you don't wish your order so they'll talk super fast to where you can't even understand them. The carhops are even worse, they walk out the door looking like they just got yelled at by trump and then limp their way to your car where they don't repeat what you had, they just hand the bag to you and leave. Are they training them to be this way?! Like come on!!! What made things worse is that the car hop (male) who gave me my food HAD THE NERVE to let his first words to me be "I can have that change?" Baffled, I responded "you sure can't sir" Like, the guy did not even speak to me he literally handed the bag to me, took my $10 and asked for my change. You're funny if you think I'm going to tip for that service. Lastly, the management is just as terrible as the service. I remember I tried to ask the manager Christina for an explanation as to why it took over 10 minutes to get a sweet tea when it was the middle of the day and only 3 cars were in the stalls.... she literally hung up................if I had not paid with a card I would have driven away. Needless to say this sonic is the armpit of the food choices in Ruston. If you want sonic with decent service make the drive to farmerville or heck! Go to Monroe! The 30 minute drive would be worth it!!!!!

The food and drinks are overpriced but I can't resist the mozzarella sticks. 😋 Other than that, they don't have the best burgers. The steak sandwich thing is an absoulte rip-off as it is a fried breading sandwich with no meat. The chicken strip dinner and breakfast birrotos are delicious.

This is the only sonic I've ever been to that charges full price for a drink refill. Then wanted to charge 44 cents for a water. Service was slow and attitudes were bad.
