By far one of the most memorable french toasts I've had, in a good way. They were downright delicious not to mention very filling. After eating I was definitely satisfied, then I had the rest of the food items on the plate to finish. The fruit bar was delicious and I'm not sure how they made their whipped cream but it was very good. Waiter asked me if I wanted another trip up to the bar but there was no way I could fit more, and I'm usually able to eat my fair share. Completely worth the money

I remember hitting this spot all the time 10 years ago in college. The owner was always there and the food was amazing. As they've grown, the food has also changed. It is still good, but not GREAT. Would still go back, but the size of the restaurant (all included) has been a factor in 5 vs 4 star food.

Parking is not as available. Parking lot is shared with University in but good luck finding a spot. Street parking is only option if you're driving there. A great variety of options on menu and includes GF and vegan options if that's important. Black coffee is about 4 bucks and menu items are a bit pricey but you are gonna be looking at mostly local and organic ingredients.

Great brunch with horrible crowds. Reservations are a must. Make sure the online reservation is for the correct restaurant. The online reservation system sometimes sends you to a different location. If you order an item that contains cooked veggies, be careful it's sometimes raw. Raw potatoes and onions in hash is nasty. Cheers.

Portage Bay has great food but you have to catch them at the right time because there is usually a line out the door. They’re also only open for breakfast and lunch so the hours are limited. I would recommend checking this place out during the weekdays if you want a minimal amount of time to wait.
