Story

What’s a local restaurant with great steaks and seafood? The Porterhouse! Above all the service is absolutely wonderful. The Porterhouse has been established for over 5 years and is family owned and operated. The Porterhouse is a contemporary American restaurant, known for its great food.

Our core belief is to provide you with the highest quality dining experience. The menu features a wide selection of American Classic including prime rib of beef, steaks, fresh seafood, sandwiches and entree salads. Our menu features a rotating selection of mouth watering food. Our waitress was delightful. The live band was excellent! Highly recommend coming Wednesday's at 6:30 just for the music!! The food was lower quality, especially the pressed chicken patties passed off as kabobs and the bottle salad dressing. The cook must have been inexperienced since my meal was burnt, my guest's salmon dry. Handicapped parking was in the back of the building. Had to walk 1/2 way around over bumpy ground to get inside. Did appreciate the long ramp. Totally an old fashioned steakhouse.

Subpar at a premium price. The drinks are good; made strong (maybe to distract you from the quality of the meat?). As an appetizer we ordered the crab cake. Heavy on the breading, but not horrible. This place advertises itself as a steakhouse, so I decided to see what the main course would offer. We ordered two New York strip steak, cooked rare and medium rare. The waitress misheard. My companion originally began to order a ribeye, but changed to the strip mid-order. The waitress either misheard or did not note the change in order, and brought out a ribeye. We explained that it should've been two strip steaks, and she corrected the order. The steaks, she claimed, were prime, but they tasted like choice steaks from the Walmart meat department. Under-seasoned, low-quality tasting, and definitely not worth the $28 price tag. The kicker was being charged for the ribeye steak, despite the waitress not noting the correction when it occurred during placing our order. Do yourself a favor, and head north or east to another restaurant if steak is what you're looking for for dinner. This place has 4 stars....and so does the Taco Bell down the street.

This is by far an awesome place. The steaks were amazing. The service was impeccable. I highly recommend this place. Great for a romantic dinner. Angel was awesome as our server.

Waiter/owner is a bit of a duche. I took a group of work colleges to an otherwise mostly empty restaurant, asked for separate checks and waiter put up a less than accommodating argument. I'm thinking, look, do you want our business or not. The place is old, yellowing, and rickety inside giving me little confidence that other things are equally cared for effecting cleanliness. A picture on the wall looks like it has been there for years and is bowing out off the wall. The tables are wobbly like their tops are going to fall off and the food isn't anything to write home about either. We go here from time to time simply because we exhausted all other local options already throughout the work week. Advice is to pass on this joint
