We love Portland, people and houses. Portland Digs is an Independent Brokerage with a strong knowledge of Portland and its surrounding Cities.

Story

Our desire is to blend and interact with the community around us in a meaningful way. We are located in an inviting space in the popular Clinton neighborhood.

The office is a sparkling combination of trendy industrial design and warm, welcoming touches that create an inviting and exciting environment to work in. The abundance of windows blends the office into the street scene and encourages interaction with passersby and walk-in clientele.

We are not just in the community, we are a part of it. Each agent has a strong sense of community and actively volunteers where there is a need. We are very passionate about Habitat for Humanity and serve each year as a team.

This is the second time my wife and I have used Portland Digs. Sondra and her team were amazing. We found a house that wanted us to sell ours within two days for them to accept our offer and the Portland Digs team got it done! Even with challenges with the buyers of our own home and with the sellers of our new ones, Sondra and Christy got creative and we ended up getting our new house for a little less and selling our old one for more than we had hoped. We will be customers for life. It was an amazing and seamless experience and I'd recommend any of the team to anyone.

Six years ago, my husband and I decided that we were moving to Portland. I had worked in real estate for about 7 years at that time and I knew exactly the kind of representation we'd need and want. I did a little research and was happy to find Sondra's office. 

We had a small budget and high hopes as we flew to Portland for 2 days. We couldn't afford to make another trip back and knew we need to make and get an offer accepted over the weekend. Prior to our trip, Sondra and her awesome team had been scouring the local listings and sending us information about the area. As we knew nothing about Portland- we'd never even visited before. They explained neighborhoods, listened to our wants and needs and did everything they could to prepare us before our arrival. 

We looked at 12 houses that first day. We made an offer and despite it being a multiple offer situation, we got the house! We left Portland excited and comforted knowing the team would be handling things until we moved 2 months later.  Working with out-of-state buyers adds an additional layer of work and they never seemed to mind. They scheduled and met inspectors and contractors for us during the process.  We were incredibly happy to get the keys to not only our first house in Portland, but our first house ever! 

We became friends with Sondra and her team over the next few years. We had no intention of moving but Sondra stayed in touch, checking in occasionally to see how things were going. She even delivered a memorial tree for us to plant in the yard after our sweet dog died. More Friend than Agent at this point. 

Fast forward to 2016. I was pregnant again and my husband and I started casually talking about finding a bigger house. We'd been hearing that the market was pretty crazy. Knowing we could potentially have a difficult time finding a house and getting a reasonable offer accepted in this market made it feel like much more of a challenge than before.

I looked online and didn't see very many properties we could afford that would be much of an upgrade. I found one adorable house that needed a lot of work (at the top of our budget!), but it was a total bust. We put our hunt on hold. 
 Then, I stumbled upon our DREAM house. This house had everything we'd ever said "someday it would be nice to have xyz". It was at the very top of our budget. Every fiber of my being said this is our next house. 

Sondra did a great job helping us evaluate the home we didn’t get, and when we finally found this next house, Sondra could see that it was just right for us and she went right to work! She negotiated an accepted offer  even with other competitive offers! She connected us with a great loan officer and worked closely with him through the entire process. She gave us advice on prepping and listing our current home while overseeing all the negotiations and inspections at the new house. We benefitted a lot from her extensive market knowledge during both the buying and selling process. Not to mention her list of trusted contractors! 

Sondra is the most professional and hard working agent I've known. I've worked with a lot of agents during my time in real estate and can honestly say that Sonda not only puts in the time and makes each client feel like the only client, but she works hard for you to help you achieve your goals. Did I mention that she is fun, too? We have zero plans to move out of this house but if circumstances change, we'd work with Sondra again in a heartbeat. I'll miss talking to her as much as I have during these last few months, but the good news is, we are still friends.

I am an appraiser who had an opportunity to come speak at Portland Digs today and meet all the agents.  In my job, I meet many agents and the agents at Portland Digs are particularly kind, easy to talk to, intelligent, and care about their clients.  Evidence of this comes from their weekly office meetings, where the invite speakers like me to help them stay sharp.  I highly recommend Portland Digs for anyone needing a Portland area real estate agent.

Sondra & Laura are very easy to work with. They were able to accommodate my tricky schedule. Sondra can communicate in sign language. The agents at Exit realty are very thorough, and we could see that she had our best interests in mind.  If you are in the Clinton street area drop by and say Hi
