They have a wonderful picture shown if you read their website. They code of ethics makes you feel confident you will receive the best. I have to admit initially the staff was wonderful and I felt confident in the service I was going to receive but a month later after the sudden loss of my brother I receive a call. There still is a balance due. They do not honor their verbal commitments even though their code of ethics strictly states that they will not mislead or provide false commitments or information. I received misleading to the point of now having a bill. My brother died of a drug overdose. He had nothing. I lost my mom a year prior and she had nothing and I am left to pay for it all. NO help. I had one hope in that this funeral home was willing to communicate with me if there was no follow through on the girlfriends part before proceeding with cremation. That was a lie.

Potomac Valley Cremation was a blessing to me recently when my father passed away. My dad passed away in December at a hospital in Washington DC. I originally called the company that my family had used when my uncle passed because we were very happy with the care we received from that owner. He explained that he did not have a license for DC and recommended a friend/colleague who is Tim Harman at Potomac Valley Cremation Center. Tim is amazing, as is Shelley. I was very particular about the facility where my dad's body would go to and be cremated. I wanted him to be handled as much by the people I spoke to and trusted rather than passed off to a third party. Tim, Shelley and everyone at Potomac Valley ensured me that my dad would be well taken care of and respected, and I trust whole heartedly that he was because of the information they explained and mostly because of the gracious way that they treated me. Tim and Shelley worked with me so that the identification process would be as easy and painless as possible. My dad's ashes were ready in time for his service, and they even delivered the ashes to my home which I appreciated because I was overwhelmed from preparing for his service. I cannot say enough great things about them. Once you speak to Tim on the phone, you will be comforted.
