It truly is a beautiful store with a lot of nice things. I won’t lie. But, finding things for my new condo has never been more difficult. I’m a 5’1 black woman who went to this pottery barn with my brother and mother yesterday(who are also black). We could not shop in peace without being followed around the entire store by the DOOR man. As soon as I walked in, I asked them specifically for one product that I’ve been looking for for months now(which I was told was in the store immediately). The guy behind the counter told us he had to check if there were any more discounts on it since it would need to be repainted and asked us to continue shopping while we waited. We were followed by the DOOR man from the counter to every where else in the store. Literally. Then we hear a “10-4 watch out” from the guy behind us which was the last straw. We went back to the counter to let the guy know we were leaving and no longer needed the product. But it SUDDENLY turns out, the product that we needed was no longer in the store(although we were the only ones in there). Lol. Definitely don’t shop at this place unless you want a 5’6 plate cleaner following you around holding your hand

“High-end” my ass. I can buy better quality dish ware and have an easier time returning items at any Target. I ordered 2 sets of “great white” dinner and salad plates, and 2 sets of soup bowls back in November so I’d have them for my Christmas party. Not only did they not come in weeks later, missing the party, but some of both types of plates came with black spots and unsightly pitting as well as small cracks/fissures on the bottoms of the plates. Also, Pottery Barn/Williams Sonoma claims they will only credit back the customer the way in which the customer initially paid. So now, instead of getting a full refund to my bank account or a check sent to my address, I am being sent a gift card that I don’t want nor will ever use, for a large portion of that order. This licensed clinical therapist is taking his business elsewhere.
